Structure Fire – County Road 633

Around 7:00 AM on today’s date, March 22, 2026, our department was dispatched along with our automatic aid departments to a reported structure fire in the 1000 block of County Road 633 in Ranburne.

Upon arrival, units confirmed a fully involved structure fire. At the time of the incident, no occupants were home. Fire personnel worked diligently to bring the fire under control and extinguish the structure.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our automatic aid partners, Ranburne Fire, Micaville Fire, and Macedonia Fire, for their assistance with manpower and equipment. Their teamwork and quick response were instrumental in managing this incident. We also extend our appreciation to our other support agencies, Cleburne 911, Cleburne EMS, and Cleburne SO for their response.

Fire Chief Patrick Nolen stated, “This was a total loss, but we are thankful no lives were lost. Incidents like this highlight the importance of strong mutual aid and working together to serve our communities. We appreciate all departments that responded and their commitment to protecting life and property. I ask you to please pray for the family that lost their home in the fire.”

Out of respect for the family involved, no names will be released at this time. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

On Friday, March 20th, we responded to two separate incidents, one at Highway 46 and County Road 71, and the second one was later in the day at Highway 46 and County Road 41.

We want to take a moment to thank all emergency responders for their quick response to both scenes and for stepping in to render aid wherever it was needed.

We would also like to give a special thank you to Ranburne Fire. They were initially paged to a different location in their district, but once the address was corrected and we were dispatched, they continued their response and were a tremendous help on scene with the vehicle accident and with the landing zone.

That is what teamwork is all about, helping one another to achieve the same goal. It is not a competition with our neighboring departments, and we are truly thankful for everyone looking out for one another.

Please join us in prayer for all of the families involved in both incidents.

Stay safe, and God bless!

Tuesday night our members gathered for another productive training night at Turkey Heaven Volunteer Fire Department, continuing our commitment to being prepared when our community needs us most.

Several important skills were covered during tonight’s training including:

• Driver Training – practicing safe apparatus operation and proper positioning on scene.
• Scene Size-Up – learning how to quickly evaluate incidents and determine the safest and most effective strategy.
• Pump Operations – hands-on pump training to ensure proper pump engaging and disengaging & operations.
• Hose Advancement – working on techniques to safely advance hose lines during fire attack.
• Hose Bed Lay – reviewing proper hose lay to ensure smart, more efficient deployment when needed.

Training nights like this help ensure our firefighters stay sharp and ready to respond safely and effectively.

Fire Chief Patrick Nolen stated, “Training is the backbone of the fire service. The more we practice these skills, the better prepared we are to protect our community and each other.”

Training Officer Jacob Long added, “Every drill night gives us an opportunity to improve. Repetition and teamwork during training ensures that when the real call comes, everyone knows their role and can perform it safely.”

We are proud of the dedication our volunteers show by taking time out of their evening to train and better serve Turkey Heaven and the surrounding communities.

We wanted to inform our Community and supporters of all our events that we have decided to not have our Annual Easter Cook this year.

With the cost of everything increasing, it’s beginning to not be very beneficial for our Department.

We appreciate the many years of support that this event has brought into the department and we look forward to seeing you in other future events.
