⚠️Severe Weather Tuesday 4/14
Severe thunderstorms are expected to develop across Iowa on Tuesday and continue into Tuesday night. Some of these storms could become dangerous, especially across eastern Iowa. The main threats will include very large hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes—some of which could be strong (EF-2+).
Storms are expected to begin developing Tuesday afternoon, likely after 3 PM, and continue through the evening and overnight hours. The most intense storms will likely occur late afternoon into the evening.
Early storms may stay more isolated, which increases the risk for very large hail and tornadoes. As we head into the evening, storms may form into a line, increasing the threat for widespread damaging winds and embedded tornadoes.
