What an incredible response from communities across the Texas Panhandle.

Motley County showed up BIG in the final days of the fundraiser and surged into the top spot, narrowly edging out Memphis to finish as our overall leader. Congratulations to both communities for an amazing showing of support for their volunteer firefighters!

And can we take a moment to recognize Hedley?

For such a small community, our little town showed up STRONG. Finishing third overall and raising $360 is something to be proud of. It proves that heart matters more than population, and when Hedley gets behind a cause, people answer the call.

Because of YOU, we raised $3,480 to give back to local volunteer fire departments across the Panhandle.

A huge thank you to everyone who purchased a shirt, hoodie, tank, cap, shared a post, tagged a friend, or encouraged others to support their hometown department. This fundraiser proved once again that when our communities need support, Panhandle folks show up.

Now comes the fun part... production! 😅

We have a LOT of shirts, hoodies, and tanks to print and process. We appreciate your patience while we complete one large production run. This helps us get everything produced efficiently and accurately.

We held our drawing earlier this afternoon at the station. One of our member's daughter drew the name and Ms. Debbie Kennedy was the winner of our raffle drawing!

All units have returned to station from the grass fire west of Clarendon.

Hedley VFD is responding to a mutual aid request from Clarendon Volunteer Fire Department for a grass fire near County Road O.

Please avoid the area and yield to emergency vehicles.

Early this morning Hedley VFD, along with other surrounding departments, responded to a call for mutual aid to Howardwick for a fire that included evacuations. After several hours, firefighters were able to stop the threat and proceed with mop-up operations. Evacuees have since been allowed to return home and all HVFD units have returned to station.
