We held our drawing earlier this afternoon at the station. One of our member's daughter drew the name and Ms. Debbie Kennedy was the winner of our raffle drawing!

All units have returned to station from the grass fire west of Clarendon.

Hedley VFD is responding to a mutual aid request from Clarendon Volunteer Fire Department for a grass fire near County Road O.

Please avoid the area and yield to emergency vehicles.

Early this morning Hedley VFD, along with other surrounding departments, responded to a call for mutual aid to Howardwick for a fire that included evacuations. After several hours, firefighters were able to stop the threat and proceed with mop-up operations. Evacuees have since been allowed to return home and all HVFD units have returned to station.

**UPDATE** Firefighters were able to mitigate the fire within an hour and return to station safely. **

HVFD is enroute to a grass fire off US-287 & County Road CC.

Please be advised if traversing the area. Yield to emergency
