Tonight, during our General Members Meeting, we had the privilege of recognizing Marsha, a beloved service dog, as an Honorary Member of Round Hill Volunteer Fire & Rescue. 💙
Marsha came into our members lives during a difficult chapter for our department — after a significant incident that left several of our members injured and all of us carrying the unseen weight that follows. Through every step of our healing, Marsha has been there — a steady, gentle presence reminding us that recovery isn’t only physical.
She has sat beside our volunteers at the station, their homes and their jobs and offered quiet comfort in moments of reflection, and brought light back into a room when words fell short. Her unconditional love and calm strength have been part of our emotional recovery in ways that can’t be measured.
We would be remiss not to thank her incredible puppy raisers, who have always been there alongside Marsha when she was needed most — sharing their hearts and time to help her help others. 💛
Tonight’s recognition is more than symbolic — it’s a thank-you from all of us who have felt her impact.
Welcome to the team, Marsha. You’ve carried us through the hard days, and we’re forever grateful. You will always be a part of our hearts and our mission. 🐾💙🚒🚑
