Did you know your small business could qualify for up to $20,000 in refundable Nebraska state tax credits?

If you're planning to grow your business, hire employees, invest in equipment, improve your workspace, or increase your marketing efforts, the Nebraska Advantage Microenterprise Tax Credit Program could help offset those costs.

This program is designed to reward Nebraska's smallest businesses for investing in their future.

✅ For microbusinesses with 5 or fewer full-time equivalent employees
✅ Receive a 20% refundable tax credit on qualifying business growth
✅ Up to $20,000 in lifetime tax credits

*Important Reminder: Applications should be submitted by November 1, with incomplete applications completed by December 1.

What a great day and family business to celebrate!

Economic development is about helping local businesses turn big dreams into reality, and Free Day Popcorn is a wonderful example of what can happen when determination, community support, and the right resources come together. For TCEDA, this ribbon cutting is truly a full-circle moment. Four years ago, Free Day Popcorn became the very first recipient of our Thriving in Thayer County Business of the Year Award because we saw their passion, innovation, and commitment to growing right here in Thayer County. Yesterday, we celebrated a beautiful new warehouse and retail space that reflects years of hard work and perseverance. We're honored to have been a small part of their journey and can't wait to see how this expansion helps them continue sharing a little piece of Thayer County with customers across the country.
