At NUES, we’re excited to support our region’s implementation of SB 241 through our Science of Reading ParaEducator Training! 📚🔬

We’ve already had the opportunity to connect with paraeducators in Heber and Coalville, and we’re not done yet! Upcoming training opportunities are planned in Vernal, Duchesne, and Heber.

Paraeducators play an important role in supporting student learning, and these trainings are designed to build foundational knowledge of the Science of Reading and strengthen the support provided to students across our region.

If you’re a paraeducator—or know someone who is—join us!

🌄 URSA 2026 is Coming to SUU: Rediscovering What Matters Most! 🌄
We have an exciting update for our rural education community! The 2026 Rural Schools Association (URSA) Conference is heading to the beautiful campus of Southern Utah University (SUU) in Cedar City this July 15-17!
This year’s theme, "Rediscovering What Matters Most," invites us to step away from the daily noise and reconnect with the heart of our educational mission.
We are absolutely thrilled to welcome three incredible voices to the stage:
📖 Gail Markin: Author of Beyond Self-Care, teaching us systemic approaches to educator well-being.
🚀 Brad Montague: Creator of Kid President, helping us rediscover our "why" and remember how to "fly."
🍎 Joanna Andres: Utah’s 2025-26 Teacher of the Year, sharing her frontline expertise and inspiration.
Let's elevate rural education together!
🎟️ Registration is OPEN! Secure your spot today at https://utahruralschools.org/conference. We can’t wait to see you in Cedar City this July!
