The Dark Skies Team shouts a BIG THANK YOU to the Wasatch County community for your support during the 45 days of signature collection to put Ordinance 23-16 on November's ballot. This overwhelming support was the motivating factor that drove the effort over 45 days of signature collection. We collected 2,657 signatures - an impressive number - yet short of the 3,235 number we needed to get the referendum on the ballot.

The heartfelt thank you's, high-fives, hugs, and words of encouragement continued to motivate our volunteers through all the challenges faced (3 holidays, a big winter storm, illness and ice). We started with 8 volunteer core members of the Dark Sky team and grew to 79 volunteers who all worked tirelessly in some way towards our goal. But more importantly, we thank the thousands of people who signed the petition. This is not a loss, it is in fact a beginning. It is a beginning of the silent majority finding their voice who care very much about where we live. We need to hold our council members and planners accountable for the development approved in our valley. If they do not feel our dark skies, our water, our safety, our view scapes, our land and animals are important, we are here to remind them that they are. The Dark Skies team asks that you keep your voice, and find the rest of your neighbors who share this voice. Elections are right around the corner. It is time to find and elect officials that represent all of us. Please come out and vote this November!

🚨TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO SIGN!🚨
We are turning in our petition to the County Clerk tomorrow. This is it! Add your name to the petition to put the Heber Temple LDA on the ballot in 2024.

We are set up at the South Field Park Drive Through on Midway Lane (next to the skate park and pickle ball courts) from 12:00 - 5:30 today. Come celebrate the hard work of our 78 volunteers! Drive through to say hello, wave a sign, honk, and SIGN THE PETITION!

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is getting involved in a lawsuit residents filed against Wasatch County.

Wednesday is our last day to collect signatures. We'll have one last petition-signing event from 12:00 - 5:30 at the South Field Park Drive Through location. (On Midway Lane next to the skate park and pickle ball courts.) We'd like to invite the community to help us wrap up this campaign with a bang. Come see us at the drive-through, if you've already signed or not (we'll collect your signature!). Wave a sign, honk your horn, show your support for our hard-working team of volunteers and this referendum.
