🎥 CASTING CALL!

We’re looking for adults in their 40s–60s to play parents and family members in the holiday campaign. We have a few featured roles with dialogue, as well as smaller non-speaking roles and background extras. We're especially hoping to find a Dad (40s–60s) for an emotional speaking role in the final scene, as well as Moms (40s–60s) for some really tender family moments. Acting experience is wonderful but definitely not required!

Shoot Dates & Locations:
- Friday, October 23 | 6–10 PM — Provo (family Christmas/pajama scenes)
- Saturday, October 24 | 6–10 PM — Centerville (family Christmas/gingerbread house scenes)
- Sunday, October 25 | 6–10 PM — Centerville (kitchen/family scenes and emotional parent-child reunion)

Each person would only be needed for the evening(s) their character appears, and most won't need to be there for the full four hours.

Wardrobe: Cozy, everyday winter/holiday clothing. Think sweaters, cardigans, warm neutrals, earthy tones, and subtle festive colors. Nothing overly formal or costume-like. We'll coordinate specific wardrobe with everyone once cast.

Hair & Makeup: Natural, everyday hair and makeup. We're going for a realistic, intimate, cinematic feel, so nothing elaborate is needed. Talent can arrive camera-ready.

Compensation: $150 for featured/principal roles and $75 for extras. Volunteers are also very welcome and appreciated!

🏳️‍🌈 LGBTQ+ History Month is a time to remember, celebrate, and carry hope forward.

We honor the generations of LGBTQ+ people whose courage, creativity, and persistence have helped create a world with more visibility, acceptance, and belonging. So much has changed and every step forward is worth celebrating.

And there is still work to do. Too many LGBTQ+ young people are navigating loneliness, rejection, and uncertainty about where they belong. Our history reminds us that meaningful change happens when we show up for one another and keep creating spaces where people can feel safe, seen, and loved.

At Encircle, we’re proud to be part of that work. Every hug, conversation, meal, art night, and moment of connection helps remind LGBTQ+ youth and families: you are not alone, you belong, and there is a place for you here.

This month, we celebrate how far we’ve come, honor those who helped light the way, and look toward a future filled with even more connection, belonging, and hope. 💛

Today, we're sharing the difficult news that Encircle has made the decision to close our Heber home, with operations concluding on July 31, 2026.

This decision followed years of outreach, community engagement, evaluation, and thoughtful consideration. While our Heber location is closing, Encircle's other homes continue to serve thousands of youth and families across Utah, and our commitment to this mission remains unchanged.

🏳️‍🌈 Pride at Encircle this year was our best one yet! 🎉

Celebrating our community with joy and authenticity always fills us up and reminds us why we love what we do at Encircle. Seeing our guests and their families join together in support for each other is the best part of Pride.

There's no doubt that love showed up in a big way this June. How do we know? Now that Pride month has officially come to an end, let's take a look!

🎡 Over 1,040 youth, young adults, and families attended our Pride Carnivals across Provo, Salt Lake, Heber, and Ogden!

🏆 Nearly 200 Encircle champions helped us reach 87% of our goal so far, raising $263,000 to keep our programs free and accessible to those who need them most.

💌 The final 13% of our fundraising goal is on the way from several local and national sponsors who dedicated a portion of their sales this month to Encircle.

🏢 More than 40 community partners joined us this month, with organizations ranging from small businesses, to local resources and more.

However, because Pride is about more than just fancy numbers, we wanted to show you what really took place this month! ❤️

Because you decided to show up this Pride, an LGBTQ+ youth who is struggling can access the therapy they need, a parent can find a community to support their child, and welcoming spaces can stay available long after Pride ends.

So, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for answering the call and showing up when it mattered most. We couldn't have done it without you.

What a wonderful evening at Encircle Heber's Family Dinner this week! Our community came together to enjoy a delicious Enchilada Night filled with great food, meaningful conversations, laughter, and connection.

Family Dinner is about more than sharing a meal—it's about creating a welcoming space where LGBTQ+ young people, adults, allies, parents, and families can gather, build relationships, and support one another. We loved seeing familiar faces and welcoming new friends around the table.
