What an easy way to support the Tavern! Eat BBQ!

Tickets are still available at Rice's Hotel / Hughlett's Tavern in Heathsville for our "Take-out BBQ Dinner." This fundraiser will take place this Sunday, October 27th.

The menu includes Sid's lip-smacking good pulled pork, BBQ sauce, "Jack Daniels" baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw, a bun, and brownies. Meals cost $25. Pay in advance online via Paypal at the Tavern website, or in person at the Tavern Gift Shoppe.

Then pull-up in front of the Tavern between 4 and 6 pm on Sunday, October 27, present your printed receipt, and a Tavern volunteer will bring your meals to your car.

To buy tickets online, visit www.RHHTFoundationinc.org. To buy in-person, stop by the Tavern Gift Shoppe. All take-out meals must be paid for in advance.

The Tavern Gifts Shoppe and Café are open Thursday through Saturday, 10 am to 2 pm. For more information, call 804-580-3377.

Stop by and say hi! We'll be in our studio upstairs inside Rice's Hotel / Hughlett's Tavern!

It's Living History Day at this Saturday's Heathsville Farmers Market! 9 am to 1 pm.

See folks in period attire from local historical organizations and enjoy at festive historical flag display.

At 11 am, watch a historical procession as we honor the grave of Capt. Foushee with a memorial marker remembering his service to our country in the War of 1812. That will be held in the front of the Tavern.

Over 60 vendors have signed up for this market! Rain or shine! Hope to see you!

Sid's BBQ pulled pork is the best!

Heritage arts of quilting, blacksmithing, woodworking, spinning and weaving are on display, with creations sold in an artisans shop. Classes open to the public. The Cafe serves lunch and sells breads and sweets. Home to the Heathsville Farmers Market.

Jan, Judy and Sue are getting ready for the Valentine Shopping Open House, this Saturday, Feb. 10th at the Tavern's Heritage Arts Center Gift Shoppe.

Lots of great gift ideas and cards. Free gift wrap. Handmade specialty Valentine chocolates for sale. Special Valentine lunch in the Tavern Café in Heathsville, VA.

The Gift Shoppe is open 10 am to 2 pm, every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Rock band, "Hard to Tell", will be playing all our favorite rock & roll tunes. Menu also includes appetizers, sides, desserts and soft drinks. $35 per ticket or $65 for two.

And the Richmond TV guys were very impressed with our Spinners & Weavers Studio!

Watch Channel 6 Richmond Television this Friday, November 18 on the Six O'Clock News! They'll be airing a segment about the Tavern and our historical funeral procession!

TV reporter Greg McQuade with WTVR CBS Channel 6 in Richmond visited the Tavern last month when we told him about our historical funeral procession for Capt. Griffin Foushee.

He interviewed several of us about how Capt. Foushee's grave came to be found and why we were reinterring him at the Tavern. Of course, we also used the opportunity to tell him all about the Tavern and what a cool place we are!

Greg and his videographer weren't able to come back for the actual funeral procession, but we sent them video from our smartphones to add to the story.

This segment will be airing on the 6 o'clock news this Friday, November 18th on WTVR CBS Channel 6 in Richmond.
