Located at the mouth of the Potomac River in full view of the Chesapeake, Bay Quarter Shores is truly a unique, family oriented, waterfront community.

Just a reminder to everyone that Merroir is open from 12pm to 7pm for takeout only BUT you are free to enjoy our food and beverages (including beer & wine) on our patio and picnic tables (all of which are spaced apart)! Specials include steamed shrimp, shrimp rolls and steamed clams in a garlic wine butter sauce! PLEASE no outside food or drink allowed - we have everything you need and an efficient takeout model at our host stand. Don’t forget to take home retail oysters, clams, beer growlers, hot sauce, cocktail sauce and our signature remoulade for your own grilling escapades this weekend!!

* Hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans and drinks will be provided by BQS.
* Each family is asked to bring a side, salad, appetizer or dessert to share.
* $2.00 per person over the age of two, payable at the door.
* The pool will be open and “Corn Hole” and other games will be available.
* Please register by replying to this email. Just a name and the number of people attending will do it.

Again……..that’s 5:30 PM at the clubhouse. Please bring your dish to share at 5:15. See you there!

BQS Members……………..

It is with regret that I inform the BQS community that Jon Grimm passed away peacefully, Thursday night around 11:30 P.M. Close friend, Melinda Baker, was with Jon at his passing. Melinda wishes to convey her thanks to the many that sent messages of support and offers of assistance.

Jon was a major contributor and friend to the BQS community for many years. Jon will be sorely missed by the community and the many friends he made here.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this point. I will post them as soon as they are available.

Please keep Jon’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
