To say that I am proud of thee amazing young people is an understatement. Not because they brought home 14 awards, but because they are exemplary humans. They truly represent the four pillars of Beta: character, achievement, leadership, and service.

They are the Power of Beta and NHS!

Contact Karen Baker if you would like to purchase tickets or a Beta member. Tickets cost $20 for 15 games. Once the $20 pack is purchased an additional pack can be purchased at the door for $15. It’s going to be a fun night. Come and support the Northumberland high school senior beta students.

Several of our Beta students participated in the Beta Leadership Summit Challenges. Both teams qualified for the National Convention. Abigail Jennings and Corrie Minor qualified for the "Lead Outside the Box" challenge. They were tasked with creating a 2-minute video to address a real-world problem which was "ways to address broadband problems in rural schools." Jay Bea, James Baker, and Bay Wiggins qualified for "The Rapid Response" challenge. They were given 5 minutes to communicate and work collaboratively to create and complete a performance-based and task-based objective.

Their victories at this level provide the opportunity to compete at the national level. National Convention will be held at the Swan and Dolphin Resort at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida during Summer 2021. Plaques for all qualifying clubs will be sent directly to each school in January.

Congratulations to Abigail, Corrie, James, Jay, and Bay for this outstanding accomplishment. ,

Congratulations James Baker, Abby Jennings, and Corrie Minor. They won top honors and are the National Champions for Freshman Problem Solvers.

I am so proud of all of my Beta students. I am especially proud of our National Champions in Freshman Problem Solving, James Baker, Abby Jennings, and Corrie Minor.

We also won 9th place in the Nation for Layla Johnson's Digital Art. I especially love that her piece includes Blackout Poetry along with her beautiful artwork.

Dues ($25) also should have been submitted, but if not send me a message ASAP. In order to receive your stole and diploma seals, these things must have been accomplished. Any questions, please let me know ASAP. I will be helping to collect items at NHS Wed, May 13th from 9am-12pm.
