Hey everyone...a little discussed part of our game is our amazing "Smash Mouth" helmet 'impairment' device. The WCF simulates combat casualties for real battle action. You know about the "visor tackle" ( or block) if you follow us, as seen in the first picture. Knocking it down impairs vision (it's blacked out).
Our smash mouth, seen next, is not shown very much because try as I might, years of training in football makes it hard for my fighters, (including me) to do what is usually a penalty. We have LED lights mounted that shine inward (to impair vision) and outward upon a strike so the referee and fans can see it.
By rule it cannot be any harder than necessary to trigger the device, like the visor rule. As shown:

or, as here,self inflicted:

It is a 'tackle' if you are a ball carrier, same as the visor tackle. As per our rules, as long as you make a good faith effort to do this (or authorized MMA move), you are then free to make conventional tackle or block. This is a back up in case you miss. If you are confident of your strike, you don't have to make a 'normal' tackle. The effect is also to eliminate high speed collisions, making WarBall safer, skill based and more inclusive for smaller people of either gender, and, of course, better for youth.
Future advancements are shown in the red text in the last picture. Add muzzled pursuit canines, women warriors playing safety* and shooting safe arrows, with 25 martial artists in combat with the visuals and drama of football. We have black powder rocketry as how else are we gonna kick off our BangBall?
*women are eligible for any position, not just archery, and the archery position can be contact or a non contact position
