Today was one of those days that reminds us exactly why Lifted Higher Ministries exists. ❤️

A mama was preparing to come home from the hospital with her new baby, but she needed a little help making sure she had the essentials to safely bring her baby home.

LHM was blessed to step in and purchase a Pack ’n Play, formula and bottled water, diapers, and wipes—making sure this mama could leave the hospital with her baby and have what she needed waiting for them at home. 🍼👶

Sometimes helping a family doesn’t require something huge. Sometimes it’s simply stepping in at the right moment, meeting a need, and helping a mama and her baby start this new chapter together.

This is what our mission looks like in real life.

Strong families create strong communities. ❤️

💙 Today is National Nonprofit Day! 💙

For us at Lifted Higher Ministries, today isn’t really about celebrating an organization. It’s about celebrating the people and the community behind it.

For nine years, we have had the privilege of walking alongside people in the Wiregrass during seasons when they simply needed someone to show up.

Sometimes that looks like helping a family work toward becoming whole again. Sometimes it’s making sure someone has transportation when they have nowhere else to turn. Sometimes it’s sitting beside an elderly member of our community so they know they aren’t alone. And now, it can even mean helping a cancer patient get to the treatment they need.

Different people. Different circumstances. But the heart behind it remains the same:

❤️ Love people. Meet them where they are. Help strengthen families.

Because we have always believed that Strong families create strong communities.

And none of this happens because of one person. It happens because of our volunteers, donors, churches, businesses, board members, community partners and friends who believe that taking care of our neighbors still matters.

On National Nonprofit Day, we would love for you to take a minute to learn a little more about Lifted Higher Ministries and the work happening right here in our community.

And if our mission touches your heart, would you consider becoming part of it? Whether that means volunteering, sharing our story, praying for our ministry, or making a donation—even a small gift helps us continue saying “yes” when someone in our community needs us.

Thank you, Wiregrass, for allowing us to serve you. We couldn’t do this without you. 💙

Strong families create strong communities.

🎉 Please join us in welcoming our two newest members to the Lifted Higher Ministries Board of Directors! 💙

At Lifted Higher Ministries, we believe that strong leadership helps us better serve our community and fulfill the mission God has called us to. We are honored to welcome Pam Smith and Rick Rehm to our Board of Directors!

💙 Pam Smith brings decades of financial and bookkeeping experience, along with a heart for serving others. After earning her degree from the University of Georgia, Pam worked in marketing before dedicating many years to raising her family. For more than 20 years, she has worked as an independent bookkeeper and has also served in accounting for both the construction and legal fields. She and her husband, Barry, recently made the Wiregrass their home to be closer to their growing family. Pam is a devoted follower of Christ, attends Church at the Crossing, and lives by the truth that, “I love Jesus, and more importantly, I know that He loves me.” We are excited for the wisdom, integrity, and financial expertise she brings to our ministry.

💙 Rick Rehm has dedicated his life to serving both our nation and our community. A U.S. Army veteran, Rick spent 24 years in air traffic control at Fort Rucker, eventually managing the Department of Defense’s busiest Army air traffic control facility before retiring in 2019. He currently serves in the Alabama House of Representatives and has a longstanding record of community leadership and public service. Rick’s experience in leadership, his commitment to strengthening communities, and his servant’s heart will be a tremendous asset to Lifted Higher Ministries as we continue expanding our impact across the Wiregrass and beyond.

As our ministry continues to grow and reach more families, senior adults, and individuals facing difficult seasons—including providing transportation for cancer patients—we are incredibly thankful that God continues to bring people alongside us who share a passion for serving others with compassion and excellence.

Please join us in giving Pam Smith and Rick Rehm a warm Lifted Higher Ministries welcome! We are honored to have you both serving alongside us and can’t wait to see how God uses your gifts to strengthen our mission.

❤️ Welcome to the Lifted Higher Ministries family!

🌟 Volunteer of the Month – Susana Mixson Pitzing 🌟

This month we’re honored to recognize Susana for her faithful heart and unwavering dedication to serving our community.

Even while working a full-time job, Susana continues to make time to volunteer with Lifted Higher Ministries because she truly believes that people matter. She has faithfully invested in the lives of many of the elderly in our community, building meaningful relationships, offering encouragement, and making sure they can get to and from important appointments and other essential needs.

Her compassion, reliability, and servant’s heart are a beautiful example of what it means to love your neighbor. Through her kindness and commitment, she’s helping us fulfill our mission of creating stronger families and a stronger community.

Susana, thank you for giving your time, your heart, and your love so generously. We are incredibly grateful for you and are blessed to have you as part of the Lifted Higher Ministries family.

Please join us in congratulating and thanking Susana for being our Volunteer of the Month! ❤️👏
