Hi...I am sure some of you have learned by now, that the White River "Fair Fish" Stand will not be open at this years Gibson County Fair, due to some unfortunate circumstances. It was with great sadness and a heavy heart that this decision was made and announced to the Fair Board President Monday, June 26th, 2017. With that being said, there are a lot of rumors circulating and some untrue facts going around, so we want to focus on the POSITIVES! First of all THANK YOU to all of the numerous volunteers over the years. We could not have stayed open for 37 years without any one of you! If anyone ever thought for a second that your hard work and the time you gave to help us succeed ever went unnoticed, please know that it did not! Again, we THANK YOU! Just as importantly, THANK YOU to the numerous people that came and sat at our fair stand and ordered our 'Fair Fish" sandwich, or paid just to get in the gate to make a trip to our stand or maybe you came to sit a spell and chat with our board members or our hard working volunteers. Visiting with you all and seeing your smiling faces is something we all will greatly miss! Please know that we could have not been in business for 37 wonderful years without you either! In the future, please check back on this page (Hazleton Ball League) to see further updates on where you can get one of our famous "Fair Fish" sandwiches. Hi Everyone! As you know, fair is coming up July 10th-16th. We NEED your help tremendously! I understand you are busy or it may be too hot or you just don't want to...etc., BUT ask yourselves this...If the Hazleton Ball League NO longer exists, would it affect you or your child? Would you miss it? Do you hate to see it end? I know you think we have all of this money, built up, BUT we certainly do not! We charge so little to play down here, because we know some families can't afford it and we want to give every child the opportunity to play. With that being said, we have a hefty insurance we pay, t-shirt cost, concession cost, umpire and score keeper fees, baseball supplies, field maintenance fees... etc. At the end of ball season we barely have enough to start all over again! Sure, shake your heads, roll your eyes and think whatever you may, but the truth is a reality. Every coach and board member you see helping down there make zero, zip, zilch, nada! They volunteer their time for the kids! We barely got parents to help with their concession stand duty this year. We heard every excuse from, I'm tired, I'm eating my hot dog, It's too hot, I don't think I should have to....etc. We hear every excuse in the book why people can't give a little bit of their time! If you can't, then what are we busting our butts for? Why are we cutting ourselves short? We ask that you work a 4 hour shift per child at the fair stand, that is it! Heck, if you want to volunteer your time for more hours, we definitely will not turn you away, BUT 4 hours per child is all we ask! This is our ONLY fundraiser! At the end of this, if you think you really do not care, then that is on you, BUT if you DO care then please take a moment to ask yourselves, "What will happen if the ballpark is no longer there?" Take a moment to help us find the help we so desperately need for the fair, hope that we have people sign up to be board members next season, so we don't have to struggle every game night to find help, and pray that this league can keep going for the kids in this community and most of all WAKE UP folks, because this seriously could be the end of the road! We thank the parents that do help in the concession stand and the ones that do your part. It does not go unnoticed! You do not have to be a parent of a child playing ball to help. We accept grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, friends...etc. or perhaps anyone that wants to help keep us going! Hi everyone! It's Fair time again! If you would like to help out the White River Little League Stand, I know we sure would greatly appreciate your help in volunteering to work! We understand you are busy, it's hot out and you have little time, but even just an hour of your time goes a long way. Whether you have 1 or 4 children playing or maybe none, this is our way to make money to keep the Hazleton Ball League open and the cost down for kiddos in our community. This little town of Hazleton is known for helping people in this community out. So, maybe if we all pitch in together we can help this small but mighty wonderful field open for children to play on for many years to come! Thank you!

Its that time of year again for ball signups. We will be holding walk in signups February 27th from 6 to 8pm CST and on Saturday February 28th from 10am till 2pm CST. Signups will be at the Town Hall in Hazleton. We will be sending out emails and mailers to all players from last year this week. If you can't make it send me your Email address and we can Email you a form. You have till March 6th to turn it in or there will be a $20 late fee.
