Today I would like to honor Victoria Halcomb and thank her for her 10 years of service at the Care Cottage. She was the first staff member that I hired. Hiring her was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. On August 22, 2016, Victoria officially joined our Care Cottage team as the Victim’s Advocate. For three years, we worked side by side rebuilding the organization. I will be forever thankful for her dedication to the Care Cottage. During this tumultuous time, she never wavered. She had earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree at UK and was a former practicum student at DCBS. The knowledge and experience she brought to the Care Cottage was of paramount importance in the child advocacy center setting. I truly don’t know what I would have done without her. She currently serves as our MDT Coordinator and does amazing work in this position as well. She goes above and beyond, not only for the Care Cottage and the children and families we serve, but the community as well. She has served in various roles with Summer in the Park for many years. Currently she serves as the Director of Summer in the Park and if you saw their production of Moana this summer, you know what a fabulous job she does. Most recently she dedicated her time outside the office to helping organize Perry Praise’s one-day outdoor worship & community event in Perry County. Please help me congratulate her on all her accomplishments over the past 10 years. And above all, join me in thanking her for her unwavering dedication and commitment to the Kentucky River Child Advocacy over the past 10 years!!!!!!!! 👏🌟💙🩵 Pam Carey Jonah Gooch Jeff Bob Kaleena Cornett
