🎗 Did you know that HPV vaccination can prevent over 90% of cancers caused by HPV?

The HPV vaccine is a safe and effective way to protect yourself and your loved ones from several types of cancer, including cervical, throat, and other HPV related cancers.

The best time to get vaccinated is between ages 9 - 12, but it’s not too late for teens and adults to catch up!

Let’s work together to raise awareness and increase protection.

💉 HPV vaccination is cancer prevention.

Talk to your doctor. Spread the word. Save lives

Last week, IKC had the honor of hosting a nursing vaccination training for students at Big Sandy KCTCS! 💉👏

In collaboration with KDPH, students explored local vaccination trends, pediatric and adult immunizations, and learned motivational interviewing techniques.

📊 Pre and post-training surveys showed a significant boost in vaccination confidence! We're excited to return to Prestonsburg this fall and expand this impactful training across other KCTCS campuses across Kentucky. 💪🩺

📢 Important Announcement: Paducah Symposium Cancelled

Due to the uncertainty of federal funding and the devastating flooding across Kentucky, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the IKC Regional Symposium scheduled for May 9, 2025, in Paducah.

This event was set to include hepatitis provider training, immunization updates, and rural health discussions. Much of the funding for these events comes from federal grants, which have been paused. State leaders and our IKC/KRHA team continue to advocate for the restoration of these critical resources.

We remain hopeful that funding will be restored and that we can revisit plans to host this symposium in the future. Thank you for your understanding and continued support as we navigate these challenges together.

Stay tuned for future updates. 💙
