Thank you for over 1,000 views on yesterday’s reel on Instagram () featuring snippets of the talented contestants from the 4th Annual Best Credible Message Contest on Friday evening.

We’re excited to now share this extended reel with audio, highlighting the powerful voices and creativity of these young artists. The contestants are locked in for the Best Credible Message Contest for this Friday’s event!

We invite our community to come together and witness local youth and young adults use the power of their voices and talents to promote peace and non-violence in our community. This marks the fourth year the Alameda County Probation Department () has hosted this inspiring event, creating a platform where young people can be heard, seen, and supported.

Our panel of judges will include representatives from Alameda County Probation Department, Alameda County Board of Supervisors, the Eden Health District Board, the Chabot–Las Positas Community College District, the Osorio Training Center, and Beyond the Ring.

Prizes:
Five contestants will each receive a $100 Amazon gift card and more. Additional gift certificates have been generously by

Location: Osorio Training Center, Downtown Hayward. 22500 Foothill Blvd.
Open House: 4:00 PM — Come early to tour the gym, meet the coaches and learn about Beyond the Ring.
Contest Start Time: 6:00 PM

Best Credible Message Contest & Osorio Training Center Open House

What a night at the Oakland Roots Sports Club home opener — the energy, the community, the purpose… unmatched. The vibes were everything, and honestly, you just had to be there.

Proud to celebrate a night where local sport meets impact, supporting Beyond the Ring and the youth we serve. From the coin toss to the final whistle, it was all love, unity, and hometown pride.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, cheered loud, and helped make a difference. This is what community looks like.

Osorio Training Center

Huge thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket to the Oakland Roots Sports Club Home Opener in support of Beyond the Ring. We had Osorio Training Center staff, board members, gym members, and supportive friends from all across the Bay Area come together for an incredible cause.

Because of you, a portion of every ticket sold will go toward our goal of supporting 50 youth and young adults in our program—with the ultimate vision of making this program completely FREE for all participants.

A special thank you to the Oakland Roots and Garrett Post for helping coordinate and for getting Beyond the Ring on the jumbotron. It was also amazing to witness a historic halftime performance by E-40, celebrate a big win for the Roots, and most importantly, feel the energy of a community coming together to support our youth.

We are incredibly grateful to all of our supporters who continue to show up for this mission.

On this , we want to take a moment to share a fellow local nonprofit that also focuses on our youth and youth adults. They are doing great work and has awarded over $160,000 in scholarship funds. Please give them a follow, buy a ticket to their fun and stylish upcoming gala and meet the women behind this amazing nonprofit. We know every penny counts, every like and follow matters and "an investment in knowledge pays the best interest." Help us build and support tomorrow's leaders.

What an incredible evening continuing the celebration in the heart of downtown Hayward.

Following the city’s 150th birthday festivities, we gathered at Storybook for the Beyond the Ring fundraiser and Osorio Training Center Coach Recognition outing — and the energy in the room said it all. Community, purpose, and celebration came together as we raised support to keep providing FREE and low-cost boxing programs for our local youth and young adults.

One of the highlights of the night was recognizing our amazing coaches whose dedication, mentorship, and hard work create a safe space where young people can learn discipline, build confidence, and grow both inside and outside the ring. We are grateful to partner with local businesses like Storybook that believe in investing back into our community. A portion of sales made on the back patio went to BTR. Thank you for your generosity, Storybook!

A big shout-out to our local Councilwomen Angela Andrews and Julie Roche and Councilman Francisco Zermeno, the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office, Alameda County Board of Supervisor Elisa Marquez, Hayward Rotarians and many other community leaders who joined us. We know how busy your schedules are, and we are truly honored that you spent time with us and continue supporting opportunities for our youth.

The momentum continues. Stay tuned as we head to the Oakland Roots home opener benefiting BTR, and as we keep promoting submissions for the Best Credible Message Contest in partnership with the Alameda County Probation (see Best Credible Message Contest & Osorio Training Center Open House)
