Due to ambiguous regulations and rumors in the 10 pike possession limit regarding processed pickled or ground pike, CFAPOA asked local Warden Tom Heisler to explain the regulations. Warden Heisler’s response is as follows:

Yes, pickled count, as do ground count for possession limit. So until consumed or given away, pike possession can't exceed the 10 per person limit, regardless.

Obviously a tough regulation to enforce when fish are pickled or ground to determine number of pike in a jar or pattie.

I pickle alot of them and make sure to mark # of pike in the jar.

Ground i suppose a person could do same. Not easy task, but best way to make sure a person isn't over 10.

🔥🔥🔥 FYI 🔥🔥🔥

The DNR will be doing a prescribed burn on Saturday, May 2 barring any surprise weather events. They will be burning near the end of Worlds End Rd, on the banks of Tyner lake of the Chippewa Flowage.

Tentative start time is 10am as conditions allow.

We are so excited to report that there will be 9 new aluminum loon nesting platforms to replace the worn out PVC platforms. This loon seems to like the added amenities.

(Welcome to the new A.I. world and perhaps we can no longer trust that those enormous fish in the boat photographs are authentic 😉)
