Many of you might be familiar with this beautiful woman! This is our leader and chief, Mabel Villalta!! 😸

Mabel and I met many years ago when (as TNR Program volunteers for Hayward Animal Services ) we were assigned (with our dear friend, Josephine Wong) to work together to clean up the out of control Feral Cat population around the South Hayward BART station! 🐾

We were a powerhouse group of women, and quickly earned the name of “Team Dixon“ by the HAS staff !!

With over 300 successful TNR cases just from this neighborhood, to this day It is an honor to continue to monitor that area and do work there on a regular basis! ( kudos to Mabel who continues this effort, even when I cannot help due to health at times).

I have helped Mabel since she started her independent rescue several years ago upon retiring. With an absolute heart of gold, She never ceases to amaze me with the tireless work she does not just for the kitties but for her local community as well!

I finally sat down and ordered this beautiful banner! Our adoption set ups will be easier to find and identify!

Come on out to our Mabels Rescue, next pop-up adoption event at Lizzie fountain Park in downtown Livermore tomorrow! 

Date:  Sunday, March 8, 11 AM to 3 PM

We will have a selection of young adults and abandoned, friendly kitties looking for their forever homes!

Our rescue is in Lizzie Fountain Park, most Saturdays, and Sundays, weather permitting! Just look for our folding tables, display cages, and beautiful felines of all ages!

😸😸😸Even if you don’t have room in your home for a Kitty at this moment, come on out and visit our troop! You just might fall in love!! 😸😸😸

Meet Elvis!! This handsome boy is in search of a new forever home!!
Due to a change in housing situation, Elvis and his kitty friends are looking for a new life!
Elvis is a little over one year old, completely vaccinated, micro chipped, litter, box trained, and very healthy. He is a mellow boy that prefers to sit in a sunny window or sunbathe somewhere around the house.
He loves cuddles, kitty treats, and some playtime would be nice…

We are so excited to announce that…

This Saturday, June 28, our adoption pop-up will be hosted by downtown Livermore’s “The Black Cat Bar & Grill”!!!

Come on out and join us for some yummy food, great drinks and visit our beautiful adoptable kitties!!!

A portion of the proceeds will support our mission!!!

These 2 beautiful siblings were rescued with their feral mom cat off the streets of Newark this past April.
Feral kittens have a very low survival rate when left in the wild.
The struggle for proper nutrition is real and these were very tiny for their estimated age.
Now, at 10 weeks of age they are just meeting the minimum weight for spay/neuter clinic. They are completely litter box trained, and vaccinated.
As you can see by these pictures, they are a bundle of energy and full of love and cuddles!

Now ready to find their forever home and family!

Some notes from Saturday…

It was a beautiful day in historic Livermore on Saturday!

Displaying an assortment of sweet, beautiful fur babies currently available for adoption always tends to attract the crowds! At times the group was “3-person thick” all to get a glimpse of our display!!!

We are happy to report that we will be back out in Livermore today, Sunday from 11 AM to 3 PM!!! (we sometimes have enough volunteers to afford us the opportunity to do a “2-day adoption display“!

This is one of those weekends and we invite you to come on out for a visit. Mabel will be available to answer your questions, so you can see our current selection of adoptable fur babies and maybe even love on them as well!

Lord knows they love to be loved… There seems to never be enough love to go around and touch every kitty equally! That need is so great!

We will be set up as usual at Lizzy fountain Park in downtown Livermore. We will have nine adoptable fur babies of all ages, sizes, colors, and personalities!

Hope to see you at the fountain today!

Mabel’s Rescue is an independent, self-funded cat rescue located in a loving home in Hayward, CA.

With a staff of dedicated volunteer “cat lovers” of all ages, we are on a mission to save feline lives “one purr at a time”.

We have very active and successful TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) teams throughout the San Francisco East Bay Area.

Whether we are maintaining established feral colonies, trapping feral cats for clinic days or fostering kittens, our group is very passionate for this cause and work hard to hopefully see “no more homeless cats” become a reality in our lifetime!

Our ultimate goal is to help all Feral cats find a place to call home 😸
