FACT: Chiropractic is the most utilised form of health care outside of the mainstream ‘medical’ approach in most developed countries. Chiropractic is a natural, holistic alternative to medication and surgery. Chiropractic is an alternative to living with pain and restriction.

There is a large body of research on the benefits of spinal adjustments, spinal manipulations and other chiropractic techniques published in a range of peer-reviewed journals. There is also a large body of research demonstrating how safe chiropractic care is when provided by a trained, registered chiropractor. Organisations like the Australian Spinal Research Foundation are continually studying and publishing research that furthers our understanding of why chiropractic works so well and how we can maximise the effect of chiropractic care.

Fake Doctors of Chiropractic in Fiji: It has been bought to our attention that there are 5 individuals in Fiji posing to be chiropractors, providing chiropractic services without any proper training, license and certification. You have to be a Doctor of Chiropractic, earn a doctorate graduate level education to become a Chiropractor. You cannot learn chiropractic over a 4 week course or videos clips you see on YouTube. Yes anyone can crack backs but Chiropractic Is more than that. You have to understand the nervous system and it’s functions, a better understanding of all systems in the body, plus safety protocols, procedures and approaches to best serve the people who seek care.

In Fiji according to the Fiji Ministry of Health, there are only two qualified and licensed Chiropractors in all of Fiji. They are “Dr Nemani D Lalanabaravi” who recently moved here from California, USA, and now practices in Suva Fiji, and Dr Byron Cragun also from the USA who has been practicing in Nadi, Fiji for many years. If you believe you are a Chiropractor and did the education and work to become one, please present your papers, certificates, and doctorate level education papers to the Fiji Ministry of Health to be registered. Practicising anything without the proper qualification, license and training is illegal and you will be taken to task for breaking the law. This is a public service safety announcement, to inform the general public to be aware of fake practitioners. It is about your safety, health and wellbeing.

MY TAKE: We find ourselves as parents sometimes getting stressed out about the state of the world, especially around these COVID-19 times. What can we do better for our family especially children, and even wondering if anything we do even matters especially around these trying times. Remember when the world feels like it’s too much, we have to remind ourselves as parents to focus on the way we can make a difference now regardless of what you are going through because through our children’s eyes your presence with them, your comfort, your love, living in the moment, means more to them than anything else in this world. Show them that you are strong minded & willed, and that you can overcome anything life throws at you. Sometimes it’s easy to lose sight of what’s important when life pulls at us in many different directions, but what matters most has always been right in front of us all along, right here at home, our children. Life is tough sometimes, but fight on, and lets show our children how to weather the storms of this life. They believe you can and so should you. You can do it. Parent Up.

A few changes has happened in our office. Since Cyclone Yasa and the heavy rain it brought with it, we had to move locations due to the office being wet and drenched with rain from the leakage in the roof at 73 Knolly St. From Monday December 28th to the end of Janurary 2021, we will be operating from the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva. We will be here until we figure out where to go to from here or move back to the same location. We will definitely keep you all posted on the progress of that. We are also thankful and grateful to Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva for allowing us to use their facilities for the next several weeks. Contact us for scheduling or more Information.

Throwback to 2017: The South Pacific Chiropractic Health & Wellness group visited Fiji for the first time as a group in March 2017 to serve, volunteer and provide free chiropractic healthcare services to people in Fiji. This was the first initiative of many projects that the South Pacific Chiropractic group did starting with Fiji, and than to the other outer islands as well, like Samoa, Tonga and many others. Stay safe during this COVID-19 times, and we will see you all sometime soon in 2021.
