Sycamore #129 had a very creative and fun New Year's Eve Pajama Party and Sleepover! 😃

Here's a peek into the fun:
Expect vibes of: “summer camp but for grown-ups,” “Pinterest sleepover on mild chaos mode,” and “we can’t believe an actual fraternal organization is letting us do this in their building.”

✨ Schedule of Shenanigans ✨
7–9pm — Sheet Fort Engineering Hour
We build. We bond. We become architects of questionable pillow-based infrastructure.

8–10pm — Building-Wide Hide & Seek
Yes, the whole building. Yes, it’s as fun as it sounds. Try not to scream if someone pops out of a broom closet.

11pm — Pillow Fight in the Grand Hall
Soft weapons. Dramatic slow-motion. Zero mercy.

8pm–2am — DJs in the Grand Hall
Expect grooves, beats, and late-night dance goblins.

All Night — Glam & Gossip Lounge (aka the Ladies’ Lounge)
Nails, hair, chitchat, transformations, magic. Open to all who identify as ladies.

All Night — Lollypop Inside + Fire Spinning in the Courtyard
(With a possible cameo by aerial artists, weather and whim permitting.)

Dining Hall Shenanigans
Games, activities, and whatever weird group fun emerges organically.

Food & Drink
Bring snacks or drinks to share. A bit of beer and booze will be on hand, but extra contributions make the night sparkle.

Full kitchen available if you suddenly feel inspired to cook like it’s a Food Network challenge.

9am — Pancake Breakfast (Carbs. Coffee. Survivors.)

We are hosting a holiday concert!

Our friends at the Sun Gallery and Makerspace have lost their grant funding because the City of Hayward has canceled all community grants due to their budget crisis. This grant is about 1/4-1/3 of the Sun's operating costs for a year. Without it they will have to retract even further and could end up having to close permanently. This year the Sun is 60 years old; and we don't want to lose this Hayward legacy. We have fought hard for this institution over the years, and believe it is worthy of saving!
