Singer, songwriter, fiddle, mandolin, and guitar player Molly Otis led a talented group of musicians in a spirited performance in a Saturday night concert sponsored by Nelson Lumber. Band regulars Randy Wydra on bass and James Shafstall on lead guitar were joined by Michael Pilhofer on drums, along with featured guest, 11-year-old Miles Phelan on violin and vocals.

Our program director, Michael Pilhofer, will be on at 8:30 Thursday morning to talk about the goings on at The Park Center this month. A very busy month of shows and volunteer work for the Stone Lake Cranharvest dinner ahead of the on Oct 3, plus an open house at the new Hayward on Oct 4 as well. Whether you are in Stone Lake, Hayward or the surrounding area, there is a lot going on. We hope to see you soon!

Two great weeks of shows coming up, our annual screening of Manhattan Short Film Festival on Oct 3 and the return of Molly and The Danger Band (and friends) Oct 10. Shows are at 7, doors open at 6:30. We'll see YOU at The Park!

We are proud to once again to help out with the Cranharvest Dinner, Thursday Oct 1, held at the Stone Lake Lions Hall. Purchase your tickets in advance at Shell Lake State Bank, Stone Lake Branch or online. The online ticket sales are available until Thursday, October 1st at 8:30AM. Tickets available for in person sales at Shell Lake State Bank until Wednesday, September 30th at 3:00PM otherwise at the door if still available.​​

The Park Center will be helping with meal prep as well as serving dinner and clean up. We hope to see you there and at the Oct 3 showing of the Manhattan Short Film Festival at 7 pm at The Park Center in downtown Hayward.

No shows this weekend as we take a deep breath of fall air. Saturday Oct 3 is our annual showing of the Manhattan Short Film Festival. These films are all vying for your vote ahead of the Oscar nominations. And our track record is pretty good, Hayward audiences have been voting for the eventual nominated films!

Tickets are available online or at the door at the same price.

Minnesota’s star picker and internationally acclaimed artist, Charlie Parr, performed in front of a wildly appreciative audience at the Park Friday night. He shared the spotlight with two storied guitars, including a vintage Gretsch 12-string acoustic guitar gifted to him by the legendary Spider John Koerner.

A fan favorite in his native Minnesota, Charlie has also sold out shows in London, Paris, Berlin and Copenhagen. His LP “Little Sun” was hailed by Rolling Stone as “a gritty blend of Delta blues and Depression-era roots music soaked in his hardscrabble voice.”

The Park and the community thank Nelson Lumber for sponsoring this phenomenal performance.
