The Park Center

The historic Park Center has been entertaining patrons since 1948, first as a movie theater, and since 2006 as a nonprofit performing arts venue featuring an engaging variety of local, regional and national entertainment.

Congratulations to Egan Young for being awarded our scholarship this year! The Park Center restarted its scholarship program that focuses on students who participate in the arts. Egan was a worthy student who showed great skills in the classroom as well as his volunteer spirit. Egan will head off to college this fall to probably chase a lot of tornadoes. I am sure we'll see lots more great photos from him of the goings on in the sky around us. .young

Being selected for the 100 Who Care large award last night was simply amazing and humbling. Congratulations to our other two worthy nominees. Thanks to you, our community of supporters, for the belief in our mission. We are always trying to improve your show experience and stand by our pledge to always bring in the best talent possible. And thanks to all of the volunteers who make The Park Center what it is. This award will jumpstart our front building redesign to be a more welcoming facade. Thanks again to everyone! We can't thank you enough. And we'll see YOU at The Park!

We can't thank Hayward Concrete enough for all that they have done to help make The Park Center look better. From replacing the deteriorating sidewalk to repairing the building itself to keep us going for another 75 years, they are a great asset to the community. Thanks to the entire Hayward Concrete team!

Hey folks, Pat's Landing Resort is having a meat raffle on June 1, 5:30pm and they have graciously appointed The Park Center as the beneficiary of their raffle proceeds. What can you say about the support we get from our community? We are honored and thrilled to be thought of in such a way. So please go into Pats, have some fun and thank them so much for their generosity in supporting our community!

Earlier this week, Hayward Dance Experience, in all of their awesomeness, took the stage at The Park Center for their 4th Annual Evening for Dance.

If you’re not familiar with HDE, their mission is to inspire dancers of all ages to appreciate all forms of movement while having fun & building community! They give students the opportunity to explore all kinds of dance, foster a passion for expression, and build their personal confidence to make a positive impact on their community and the world!

A huge shout out to Nicole Nathan and her amazing team of teachers Brianna Paine and Leslie Lambert. They do an incredible job.

As expected, ticket sales for our June 6 Heartache Tonight Tribute to The Eagles show is at near maximum capacity. As such, we have stopped all online and retail sales to leave some tickets available for walk in sales at the door on show day.

So don't despair, if you decide to come last minute or just plain missed the online opportunity we will have about 30 tickets available at the box office that evening. We invite everyone to come in at least 30 minutes before the show to get seats and visit the concession stand.

This show is a fundraiser to benefit the animals in shelter at The Northwoods Humane Society. A portion of all sales will go directly to that organization.

We'll see you at The Park!

Starting in June, most of our show start times move from 7 pm to 7:30 pm. And also a reminder that we no longer take reservations for tickets. Tickets can be purchased online or at one of out retail partners, EDDY’s on Third , Out of the Woods Winery, The Whistle Punk, or Redbery Books. We try to have at least some walk in tickets available for every show but we can't guarantee many on popular performances. Thanks for supporting the arts in your community and we'll see you at the show!

What a brilliant evening of chamber music from some of the Twin Cities’ finest musicians. Brittany Quinn (violin), Alexandra Sophocleus (viola), Ruth Marshall (cello), and Dr. Carson Rose Schneider (piano) took center stage at The Park Center for an evening filled with musical variety, joy, and inspired collaboration.

This beautifully curated program celebrated the art of collaboration through an array of instrumental combinations, exploring musical through-lines across time and style. From the vibrant sounds of Joaquín Turina and acclaimed contemporary composer Jessie Montgomery, to masterworks by Haydn and Mozart, and concluding with Antonín Dvořák’s Piano Quartet in E-flat Major, Op. 87, the evening was nothing short of exquisite.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special performance. More wonderful music is still to come in The Park Center Chamber Series in 2026 and beyond.
