Some stories are hard to hear — but they need to be heard.

John’s life was marked by pain, addiction, brokenness, and moments where hope felt completely out of reach. But his story did not end there.

Through the grace of Jesus, everything began to change.

Join us this weekend and hear John share his powerful testimony — a devastating life story transformed into a story of freedom, healing, and hope. Whether you are walking through addiction, love someone who is, or simply need to be reminded that no one is too far gone, this is a message you won’t want to miss.

📖 **1 Corinthians 13:4**
“Love is patient & kind. It does not envy or boast, it is not proud.”

The world often defines love by feelings, but Scripture defines it by character. Real love is patient when it would be easier to rush. It is kind when it would be easier to be harsh. It celebrates others instead of competing with them and chooses humility over pride.

This kind of love doesn't happen by accident. It grows as we allow God to shape our hearts and reflect His love through our lives.

Today is a good day to show patience, extend kindness, and love others the way Christ has loved you.

📖 **James 1:5**
“If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you.”

Life is filled with decisions, questions, and moments when we simply do not know what to do. God never expected us to navigate those moments alone. This verse is a reminder that wisdom is available to anyone who asks. Not reluctantly given, but generously offered by a loving Father.

God's wisdom helps us see beyond the moment, discern what is right, and walk with confidence in His direction. When we seek Him, He is faithful to guide us.

Today is a good day to bring your questions to God and trust Him to provide the wisdom you need.

Join us for Abide: A Guided Prayer Experience

This summer, we’re making a special point to go deeper with God through prayer.

As part of our 99 Days of Prayer emphasis, we’re inviting you to gather with us for Abide — a guided prayer experience happening Monday, June 15th.

This will be a focused time of prayer led by experienced disciples who will guide us through meaningful prayer practices and simple frameworks you can continue using in your personal prayer life long after the evening is over.

Whether prayer feels natural to you or you’re still learning how to grow in it, this is a beautiful opportunity to slow down, seek God, and pray alongside others.

We hope you’ll join us as we seek God together.

📖 **Psalm 27:14**
“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

Waiting is rarely easy. We prefer answers now, solutions now, and movement now. Yet throughout Scripture, God often does some of His deepest work in seasons of waiting. These are the moments when trust is strengthened, character is formed, and faith learns to rest in God's timing.

Notice the encouragement in this verse: *be strong and take heart*. Waiting is not passive. It is an active confidence that God is at work, even when we cannot yet see the outcome.

Today is a good day to trust God's timing and remember that waiting on the Lord is never wasted.

📖 **Matthew 5:10**
“Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

Following Jesus is not always easy. There are times when doing what is right can lead to criticism, rejection, or hardship. Yet Jesus reminds us that faithfulness is never wasted. God sees every act of obedience, every stand for truth, and every sacrifice made for His name.

This blessing is a reminder that our reward is not found in the approval of others, but in belonging to God's kingdom. When we remain faithful to Christ, even in difficult circumstances, we can trust that He is with us and that His promises remain true.

Today is a good day to stand firm in your faith and trust God with the outcome.

REWIND: Another look at Sunday’s message

Jesus’ words in Matthew 7:22–23 are some of the most sobering in the Sermon on the Mount.

There will come a day when the Kingdom of God is fully revealed. Evil, sin, death, sorrow, and rejection will be gone. Creation will be renewed, and the hope we sing about now will become reality.

Jesus describes that day in Matthew 25 like a shepherd separating sheep from goats. They may look similar for a time, but when the shepherd separates them, the difference becomes clear.

In the same way, Jesus teaches that there will be a day of judgment when people are separated—not by appearances, religious language, or outward activity, but by whether they truly belong to Him.

The shocking part is not that there will be a day of judgment. Jesus taught that plainly. The shocking part is that many people will be surprised. They had the right words. They used the name of Jesus. They looked religious. They may have even done impressive things.

But Jesus says, “I never knew you.”

This REWIND is a hard but necessary reminder: religious activity is not the same as relationship with Jesus.

The question is not simply, “Do I know about Jesus?”

The question is, “Does Jesus know me?”

📖 **Matthew 5:9**
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”

Peace is more than the absence of conflict. It is the presence of God's love, grace, and reconciliation. Peacemakers do not ignore problems or avoid difficult conversations. They work to bring healing, restore relationships, and reflect the character of Christ in the midst of tension.

Jesus is the ultimate Peacemaker. Through His sacrifice, He made peace between God and humanity. As His followers, we are called to carry that same spirit into our homes, churches, workplaces, and communities.

Today is a good day to be a peacemaker, bringing God's grace wherever you go.
