Meet our candidates: Annie! ✨

An incoming senior at Hayward High School, Annie stays busy with Girls Varsity Soccer, National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Junior Class Board, and Character Ed Club. She also loves giving back to the community through volunteer work with the Hayward Food Shelf, Salvation Army, and Lumberjack World Championships.

When she’s not at school, work, or volunteering, Annie enjoys painting, biking, swimming, and spending time outdoors. After graduation, she plans to study Marine Biology at UW–Whitewater and hopes to study abroad in Australia. We’re excited to have Annie as part of this year’s candidate experience and can’t wait to follow her journey during Hayward Musky Festival! 🩷

What a great afternoon kicking off candidate season! 👑 We are excited to officially introduce our 2026 Musky Queen candidates, Annie and Abby, and can’t wait for everyone to get to know them very soon. We started our evening at Polished, where Rachel generously helped the girls get ready for their official candidate photos with Sarah of Kozlowski Co., and got to work creating posters for our first-ever candidate fundraiser car wash happening June 24th at Don Johnson's Hayward Motors Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.

Hayward Musky Festival will be here before we know it, and we are excited to begin the candidate experience, make lasting memories, and enjoy the best days of summer together. 🩷

Congrats to our amazing Emma + Alexis as they walk at the Hayward High School graduation today! 🎓🩷

We are beyond proud of these two and everything they’ve accomplished—both in the classroom and through the Musky Queen program. As court members, they are celebrated with a pink cord as a symbol of their dedication, leadership, and time spent serving the community.

Watching you grow, shine, and lead has been such a joy, and we can’t wait to see all the incredible things your next chapter brings ✨

We've extended the application deadline for the 2026 Musky Queen candidate experience! From now until May 25th, you can still submit your application for the Musky Queen Scholarship Program. 👑

There’s something so special about traditions that come full circle 🤍 From generation to generation, this program is more than a title, it’s a legacy of confidence, community, and connection. Watching these bonds grow over the years is exactly what makes the Musky Queen experience so meaningful.

Your daughter, granddaughter, niece, or family friend could be next in line to start something just as special. While our Mini Musky spots are officially full, there is still time to join the tradition in the Little Musky Queen and Junior Musky Queen divisions.

Be part of the excitement of Musky Festival and join a cherished Hayward tradition! This is a fun and memorable opportunity for girls to build confidence, make new friends, and celebrate community spirit.

👑 Mini Musky Queen – Kindergarten, 1st, or 2nd grade
👑 Little Miss Musky Queen – 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade
👑 Junior Musky Queen – 6th, 7th, or 8th grade
(Grades based on the 2025/2026 school year)

Spots are limited to the first 15 completed registrations in each division, so be sure to register soon! Each division’s Queen will be randomly drawn and all participants receive a crown and a gift!
