Our Musky Queen Annie had such a fun weekend at the Sawyer County Fair!🎡🐮 She helped judge the vegetable races, cheered on our little winners, and then headed over to scoop ice cream and serve up smiles!

THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support our first annual Car Wash Fundraiser! We are so grateful for everyone who stopped by, donated, and helped make the car wash such a success. Our Musky Queen Annie, Little Musky Queen Adelaide, and an amazing group of volunteers were hard at work getting cars (and a motorcycle!) squeaky clean 🫧🧽

We couldn’t do what we do without the incredible support of our community. A HUGE thank you to Don Johnson's Hayward Motors Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram for hosting and helping us make this new tradition come to life - we can’t wait to see you all again next year during Musky Fest! 👑

This year, we were honored to introduce a brand-new recognition within the Musky Queen Scholarship Program: the Izhi-maamawi Giwiidanokiindimin Award, an Ojibwe phrase meaning "We Are Working Together."

Presented by Ariana Johnson, owner of Sweetgrass & Sage, this award celebrates kindness, unity, and inclusion - recognizing a young woman who leads by uplifting others and creating a welcoming environment for everyone around her. Johnson worked closely with a local Ojibwe linguist to encapsulate the name of the award.

Congratulations to the inaugural recipient of the Izhi-maamawi Giwiidanokiindimin Award, Abby Carson! Thank you for leading with compassion and reminding us that we're stronger when we work together.

The Lumberjack World Championships are one of Hayward’s most iconic traditions, bringing together competitors and spectators from around the world each summer. We’re proud to be a small part of such a special event and always enjoy the opportunity to volunteer while representing our amazing community! ❤️

Last weekend, our Hayward Musky Fest royalty kicked off their summer appearances with a wonderful day in Spooner! 👑 Annie, Abby, Adelaide, and Paige enjoyed attending the Spooner Rodeo Queen’s Tea where they had the opportunity to meet fellow ambassadors from neighboring communities before taking part in the Spooner Rodeo Parade. They also got to show off their new dresses courtesy of WildeGifts for the first time!

It was the perfect start to a summer full of community events, new friendships, and representing Hayward with pride - we can’t wait for what’s ahead!
