Windigo Lake Area Updates
Spring 2025
We are still waiting for the ice to come off of Windigo. Hopefully sometime mid-April.
- Our Spring Dinner is on April 26th at Trailways. If you have not yet registered and want to join us, see emails that we have sent with the registration form or email us at [email protected].
- Remember May and early June are the time to look for Curly Leaf Pond W**d. Look at our page about AIS prevention for pictures to help in identification. As we move into later months in the summer, we want to keep the watch out for Eurasian Milfoil. To date, Windigo Lake and Lake 27 do not have either of these Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS).
- We have a project in process to install a boat decontamination station at the Windigo Boat Landing. These stations have been installed successfully at many lakes in Sawyer and Burnett County to help protect the spread of AIS. Sawyer County has a law that requires the station to be used for all boats entering and exiting the lake or stiff financial penalties can be assessed. If you have questions about this project, please contact any Board member or email us at [email protected] .
- Mark your calendars for our Annual Meeting and Picnic on Saturday July 26th at 4pm.
