In 1898, eight young women away from home and family, found each other and began their journey in friendship. TriSigma is not for just 4 years, it's forever.

As a dedicated, caring Sorority, we aim to serve those in need. The Epsilon Alpha chapter of Sigma Sigma Sigma was established at California State University, East Bay on April 20, 1984. TriSigma is one of two National Panhellenic organizations on Cal State University, East Bay’s campus and has continuously thrived in membership, academics and campus involvement! s to promote our founding member's goals and beliefs as we aim to develop strong womanly character, perpetual bonds of friendship as well as uphold high standards of conduct. The Tri Sigma Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Tri Sigma Sorority, supporting programs consistent with our mission, vision and values. The Foundation’s mission is to create opportunities for donors to support scholarship, leadership development, philanthropy and service. To date the Foundation has awarded nearly $1.5 million for scholarships and leadership programs as well as more than $3 million in therapeutic play/child life programs. The Foundation was formed in 1992 when the Robbie Page Memorial Fund joined with the sorority's Educational Foundation to create the Tri Sigma Foundation. Most recently in 2016, the Foundation expanded its vision of Sigma Serves Children by adding a national philanthropic partnership with March of Dimes. Sigma Serves Children is the philanthropic initiative to benefit children’s health. Whether Sigmas provide play therapy grants to children’s hospitals or light their campus purple for Prematurity Awareness Month, we believe we can impact children’s’ lives. The Robbie Page Memorial Fund and March of Dimes share a common history and common mission to ensure children have a fighting chance in their futures. The Robbie Page Memorial Fund became our first national philanthropy in 1954. Then Tri Sigma welcomed March of Dimes as a philanthropic partner at the 2016 Convention. Knowing that children’s health is a priority to our members, Sigma Serves Children expanded its reach. The Foundation is proud to honor Robbie's wish of serving children. The Foundation is a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization, and gifts are tax deductible in the United States to the fullest extent allowable by law.

As we head into summer and start looking forward to recruitment, we want every Potential New Member to know exactly what Tri Sigma stands for. Finding your home away from home should be an empowering experience, and it is so important to us that you feel completely comfortable, safe, and celebrated for exactly who you are.

Tri Sigma is incredibly proud of our national diversity and gender inclusion policies. We were the very first Panhellenic organization to add sexual orientation to our national non-discrimination clause.

Our stance is simple: if you identify as a woman, you are eligible for Tri Sigma membership. And just as importantly, our membership is a lifetime commitment. Our national position is that “Once a Tri Sigma, Always a Tri Sigma”—regardless of any other circumstance or how your personal journey unfolds after initiation.

To our LGBTQ+ members, alumni, and all the incredible people looking for their Panhellenic home this fall: we see you, we support you, and we are committed to being a space where you can safely and authentically be yourself.
