Spectrum Community Services is proud to be a member of Meals on Wheels America . This week, three of our teammates had the opportunity to attend the 2026 Meals on Wheels Conference & Expo!
They’re heading home with new ideas, fresh inspiration, and a renewed appreciation for the incredible work being done by Meals on Wheels organizations across the country. From sharing best practices to learning from colleagues and building new connections, it’s been a great week of networking, learning, and motivation.
We’re grateful to Meals on Wheels America for bringing our community together and creating opportunities for organizations like ours to learn from one another and continue strengthening the services we provide to our neighbors. 🎉

🎉 Spectrum Community Services is turning 55! 🎉

For 55 years, we’ve been honored to serve the Alameda County community—providing nourishment, connection, safety, and support to older adults and families across the county.

Our theme for this milestone is because we know that the work we do is only possible because of the strength of our community, our partners, our volunteers, our donors, and the people we serve. 💙

🎂 Send Spectrum a birthday gift! Help us celebrate 55 years by donating $55, $155, $255, $555—or any amount meaningful to you in honor of Spectrum’s birthday.

Your support helps ensure that older adults and families across Alameda County can continue to access the services they need to thrive.

These funds help us continue delivering nutritious meals, connection, and care to the seniors in our community. We’re grateful to be part of a nationwide effort supporting the Meals on Wheels network and making a meaningful impact right here in California.

Big news for in the !

Spectrum Community Services, Inc.is proud to announce our new partnership with Open Heart Kitchen to support home-delivered meals for local homebound older adults.

As we begin this next chapter, our priority remains the same: making sure seniors continue to receive nutritious meals, wellness checks, and friendly visits from the Spectrum volunteers and staff they know and trust.

We are deeply grateful to Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley for nearly 30 years of partnership, and excited to move forward with Open Heart Kitchen, a mission-aligned local nonprofit committed to food access, dignity, and community care.

Every delivery is . It is a smile, a check-in, and a reminder that our older neighbors are not alone.

A heartfelt thank you to the Livermore Valley Chamber for donating the beautiful table flower arrangements from yesterday’s event to Spectrum’s Meals on Wheels program.

Today, these flowers are heading out with Meals on Wheels deliveries to brighten the day of local older adults in our community. Small gestures like this can make a meaningful difference, and we are so grateful for the Chamber’s thoughtfulness and continued partnership.

Thank you for helping us bring not only nutritious meals, but also a little extra joy and beauty, to the people we serve.

Congratulations to Krista Olson, Spectrum’s Meals on Wheels Coordinator & Operations Specialist, on graduating from the Livermore Valley Chamber Leadership Program!

We are so proud of Krista and grateful for the way she represents Spectrum in the Tri-Valley community. Congratulations to the entire Leadership Program graduating class on this accomplishment.

Thank you to the Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce for hosting such a valuable program that helps strengthen local leadership, connection, and collaboration.

We also appreciated the opportunity to attend the State of the County address. It was informative and encouraging to hear about the important work happening across Alameda County. Spectrum is especially hopeful about the future of strong partnerships between local government, community-based organizations, and nonprofits working together to support the people who call this community home.
