💛🩷Adopt Jinx 🥤

Meet Jinx - Miss Jinx is such a sweet furbaby. The progress she has made since coming to foster has been huge. She is still a timid girl but is overcoming her anxiousness daily. This Rhodesian Ridgeback Lab puppy is full of life and energy. She loves her foster sisters the most and her current humans come in a close second. We are hopeful she will find a forever home that will give her a buddy and keep encouraging her to become the best dog ever.

☀️🐾 A Dog House Is Not Air Conditioning 🐾☀️

As temperatures climb, we want to remind everyone that plastic dog houses and enclosed shelters can become dangerously hot inside, often much hotter than the air temperature outside. What feels like shade to us can quickly turn into an oven for a dog.

Dogs rely on us to keep them safe. If it’s too hot for you to sit outside all day, it’s too hot for them too.

✅ Bring your pets inside whenever possible.
✅ Provide plenty of fresh, cool water.
✅ Make sure outdoor pets have access to deep shade and airflow.
✅ Watch for signs of heat exhaustion: excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting, or difficulty standing.

Every summer, we see preventable heat-related emergencies. A few simple precautions can save a life.

If you love your dog, leave them in the comfort of your home, not outside in the heat. ❤️

Meet Tango (blue collar) & Cash (black splotch on face, red collar) — a bonded pair of sweet brothers looking for their forever home together.

These handsome boys first found their way into hearts back in 2018 when they arrived at a local brewery and were adopted into a loving home. Sadly, due to their family being relocated to a care facility, Tango and Cash have returned to our care as of March 2026.

Through it all, one thing has never changed—their incredible bond. These two are happiest side by side, sharing quiet moments, gentle affection, and unconditional love. They are calm, loving companions who are ready to bring warmth, loyalty, and twice the happiness into a new home.

And don’t let their age fool you—they’ve still got a little pep in their step and love getting out for walks together!

Gaia came into care back in 2021 when she landed at the Wichita Animal Shelter pregnant and needing a place to land to keep here pups safe. Gaia nursed and watched her 12 puppies land furever homes. Gaia is still looking for her furever home.

Gaia is still a ball of energy who is always ready for playtime. She loves to chase after toys, her tail wagging with pure joy. After a good game, Gaia is the perfect cuddle buddy, always ready to snuggle up and share some sweet moments. Her friendly nature makes her a wonderful companion. She's a sweet soul, always looking for ways to show her love. Gaia is not just a pet, she's a friend, a confidante, a source of endless fun. Adopting Gaia means bringing home a bundle of happiness. She deserves a loving home where she can continue to spread her warmth and cheer.

Unfortunately, Gaia had a minor incident when loose in the middle of the night and was Potential Deamed Dangerous (PDD). She will need to be adopted outside Wichita city limits.

✨ WE LOVE A GLOW UP! ✨ Meet Erykah Badu: still waiting for her forever (or even a foster!) home

Erykah Badu’s journey is one of resilience, second chances, and the kind of love only a survivor can give.

Once found in the snow, chained and alone, she never gave up. When her chance finally came, we stepped in—pulling her from the euthanasia list, treating her heartworms, repairing her cherry eye, and giving her the care she always deserved. Today, she’s healthy, healed, and so ready to love her person. 💛

But right now… she’s waiting in boarding. And what she needs most is a home.
Erykah is a snuggle expert. She greets you with full-body hugs, gives the sweetest little “pittie nibbles,” and just wants to be as close to her person as possible. She’s goofy, affectionate, and full of personality—dragging her blanket around and turning everyday moments into something special.

She can be a little shy at first, but with patience and consistency, she blossoms into the most devoted companion. She’s looking for a calm, structured home with no other pets and no small children, just loving humans to call her own.

This boy is only 2 years young, his short life has just begun and he is absolutely BURSTING with energy and enthusiasm after 24/7 confinement since intake. Tragically this perfect companion boy has found himself on the euth list through no fault of his own and is now BEGGING for someone to step up and be his life or de@th difference. He can’t save himself and will never make it out of these kennel halls without your help.

“Cornelius Hackl” is a sweet, one-year-old pup who is urgently looking for a hero! Sadly, this lovable boy is at risk of euthanasia and desperately needs a forever home or foster to step up now and spare his life. He is a total gem who already knows "sit," walks beautifully on a leash (though he can get a little enthusiastic and pull when he’s excited to explore!), and absolutely lives for chin scratches. If you’re looking for an affectionate companion, he is a world-class cuddler who LOVES showering his people with kisses and enjoys nothing more than sniffing his way through outdoor adventures. ✨ Second Chance at MeeMaw! ✨
MeeMaw was recently returned and is now spending her days in boarding with her new best friend, Clarence. While they're enjoying each other's company, what MeeMaw really wants is a family of her own. She is available for foster or adoption!

MeeMaw is the perfect combination of couch potato and adventure buddy. She loves snuggling with her people, going for walks, playing fetch, splashing in the water, and tagging along for car rides. She's kennel trained, rides beautifully in the car, and isn't shy about sharing her opinions—this girl loves to "talk!"

One of MeeMaw's most charming features is her adorable b***y wiggle when she's excited. She loves toys, especially squeaky ones, and her joyful personality is contagious.

MeeMaw is incredibly affectionate and loves being close to her people. She greets adults with hugs and children with gentle face kisses. While she can be startled by unfamiliar situations and may bark when surprised, she simply needs a patient family willing to help her build confidence.

She can be selective about her dog friends and tends to be dominant, so a compatible male dog or a home where she can be the only pet would likely be the best fit.

💔 MeeMaw has now lost her home twice and is back in boarding, waiting and hoping someone will give her the stability and love she deserves. Let's not let her spend any longer wondering when her family will come.
