‼️ Action Alert‼️

Congress is considering legislation that would expand some veterans' programs by changing disability ratings for tinnitus and obstructive sleep apnea.

According to VA estimates, those changes could affect up to 1.5 million veterans and reduce disability compensation by approximately $57 billion over the next 10 years.

Veterans should not pay for veterans' benefits.

Happy Women Veterans’ Day.

On this day in military history back in 1948 The Women’s Armed Services Integration Act was signed. This year is particularly significant as it is the anniversary of that groundbreaking legislation for America’s military women, granting women a permanent place and an opportunity for a career in the nation’s military. June 12th is a special day designated to honor America’s military women, past and present.

You may receive this letter from the VA. Free TSA Pre-Check!

NOTE! This letter is going out today or soon to potentially eligible veterans. The PROBLEM is the website shown in the letter has not been developed yet so expect a lot of questions and present the letter (Which will have your name on it) as directed.

Dear Veteran:

On January 4, 2025, the VETS (Veterans Expedited TSA Screening) Safe Travel Act (Public Law 118-238) was signed into law, which allows certain Veterans with severe service-connected disabilities to receive TSA PreCheck enrollment at no cost.

Under this law, a Veteran is eligible for free TSA PreCheck enrollment if they meet the following minimum requirements:

1) Are enrolled in the VA healthcare system;

2) Have a service-connected disability that resulted in the loss or loss of use of a limb, paralysis or partial paralysis, or permanent blindness; and

3) Require the use of a wheelchair, prosthetic limb, or other device to assist with mobility because of that service-connected disability.

Based on our records, you appear to meet eligibility requirements.

What’s Next:

If you wish to take advantage of this benefit, please visit https://www.tsa.gov/vetssafe for detailed instructions on completing your enrollment. You must provide a copy of this letter during the TSA PreCheck enrollment process.

Important:

In addition to meeting the minimum eligibility requirements under the above VETS Safe Travel Act, you must meet TSA’s standard citizenship and security requirements, including a background check. Veterans may be ineligible due to incomplete or false application information, certain violations of federal security regulations, or disqualifying criminal offenses and other factors. TSA shall waive the enrollment fee subject to availability of funds.

Please note that this letter is not a determination of entitlement for VA compensation or any other benefit under title 38 of the United States Code. TSA PreCheck VETS Safe is program of the Transportation Security Administration.

Additional Information:

For information about TSA PreCheck, visit https://www.tsa.gov/precheck or call 1866-289-9673.
