A tremendous "Thank you!" to Honey Stinger, based out of Steamboat Springs, CO. who has continued to selflessly, consciously, and generously supported local businesses (especially when it comes to beekeeping enrichment!)!

We are ever so grateful for the $5,000 donation which we will use to finally complete our website and purchase extra bee suits. Our student numbers continue to grow (from 100 students a year a few years ago to 400 students in 2022!!!) and therefore we have a great need for those tiny yellow suits!

My are baaaaack!

enrichment has returned. Our teeny tiny are back in action after the long winter months. The were on their best behavior and we enjoyed learning about , , the intricate workings of colonies, , and becoming future beekeepers.

Bee the Future (501c3) empowers Routt and Moffat County youth by teaching the skills necessary to become beekeepers as well as educating our youth about saving the honeybee population and protecting all pollinators. We provide year round honeybee enrichment programs both at our home indoor apiary in addition to providing classroom instruction with our traveling beehive. Through donations and rescuing local swarms, our students are able to have their own beehives to care for throughout the year. Bee the Future also provides an annual scholarship to any student participating in our program who desires to pursue a degree in agriculture.

Thank you, Rotary Club of Steamboat Springs, for the huge donation we received this past cycle. Your generosity will allow us to expand our summer beekeeping program through the purchase of 50 more suits and 20 pairs of boots for our summer enthusiasts. Without your continued support, we would not be able to grow our program and would have to turn away future . You have been an integral part of our program through the years and have been a lifeline for our students to thrive safely, both from and sterilizing suits between use during COVID.
