Alcohol prevention starts with education, connection, and community.
In Nevada, youth alcohol use continues to impact families, schools, and communities across the state. According to the Nevada Youth Risk Behavior Survey, many Nevada teens report early exposure to alcohol and risky behaviors connected to substance use. Prevention matters because the earlier alcohol use begins, the higher the risk for addiction, mental health struggles, accidents, violence, and long-term health issues later in life. At the Frontier Community Coalition and Warrior Youth Team, we believe every young person deserves opportunities, support, mentorship, and safe spaces where they can grow without the pressures of drugs and alcohol.
Prevention is more than saying “no.”
It’s creating strong families.
It’s building confidence in our youth.
It’s providing positive activities, leadership opportunities, mental health support, and community connections.
When communities come together, we can protect our youth and help them build healthy futures filled with purpose, hope, and strength. 💙💛
Thank you to everyone who continues to support prevention efforts in our community and across Nevada. Together we are making a difference — one conversation, one event, and one child at a time.
