Friends of the Louis Bay 2nd Library A volunteer, non-profit group supporting the public library of Hawthorne, NJ since 1981. Please feel free to message us on FB for more information.

The Friends of the Louis Bay 2nd Library and Community Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 1981 to support the Public Library of Hawthorne, NJ. The mission of the organization is: to stimulate awareness of the Library and Community Center as an informational, educational, and cultural center for people of all ages in the community; to focus public attention on the library,

its facilities, services, resources, and activities; to encourage gifts, donations, endowments, and bequests to the library, as well as to aid and support the Library's development with financial contributions. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 7 pm at the library, except for July and August, when meetings are not held.

The Friends of Louis Bay 2nd Book Loft is the perfect place to find your summer reading! With our incredibly modest prices, you don't have to worry about damage if you take your book to the pool or beach. You can also stock your library at your vacation home and let your guest take their books with them if they don't finish reading before they head home.

Fiction is our most popular category, and we continue to need donations of both hardcover and paperback adult fiction. Please consider donating your books. All proceeds raised by the Friends benefit the library.
