Senator John A. Girgenti Civic League The Senator John A. Girgenti Civic League is a non-profit community group with many members, and is open to all who are interested in joining us. The John A.

Girgenti Civic League was established in 1990. The League holds meetings once a month and are open to everyone. Members are informed of current local and state events and are provided a forum to discuss their own concerns. Meetings also feature guest speakers; past speakers include Homeland Security Director McKenna, Sheriff Speziale, County Prosecutor Valdez, Attorney General Dow, and others. The

League does many community activities, including sponsoring two Little League baseball teams, a Christmas Toy Drive, and makes donations to various organizations. Youth mentoring and special needs are a few areas where the Civic League makes a positive impact.
