Experts been warning that America’s power grid is OLD and way more vulnerable than most of us probably realize.

And here’s the crazy part… 😳

Former federal energy regulator Jon Wellinghoff has warned that in an EXTREME situation where several critical substations went down, parts of the country could potentially be without power for 18 MONTHS OR LONGER. 🤯

Why so long?

Because some of them HUGE transformers that keep the grid running ain’t sitting on a shelf at Home Depot 😂. Some can take 2+ YEARS to replace.

And before somebody says, “Man, that could never happen…” 👀

Look at Northwest Indiana.

Severe storms hit August 11, and thousands of people have reportedly gone into their 11th DAY WITHOUT POWER. Gary was one of the hardest-hit areas, with restoration work expected to stretch close to two weeks after the storm.

Now don’t get it twisted — what happened in Gary is NOWHERE NEAR the nationwide disaster experts are talking about.

But it definitely shows you something:

⚡️ When major electrical infrastructure gets damaged, flipping the lights back on ain’t always as simple as flipping a switch.

Nobody is saying America is about to lose power for 18 months tomorrow.

The warning is basically:

IF the wrong parts of this grid ever go down at the same time… we might find out REAL QUICK how dependent we are on electricity. 😳🔦

Be honest…
