The Play to Learn Center is proud to be part of Hill County Plant A Seed-READ -the Hill County affiliate of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

You will truly be missed, and rest assure we will continue our mission to inspire the love of reading one book at a time. Thank you, Dolly, for being an inspiration to others.

In 1995, Dolly Parton started mailing books to children in her home county to inspire children to love reading in honor of her dad, who couldn’t read or write.

Plant a Seed…READ! signed on to be Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library affiliate for Hill County in 2010 to give our children the best start in life. For over a decade thousands of books have been delivered to children from birth until their 5th Birthday in our community.

While our hearts are incredibly sad today, losing someone so special who changed the lives of so many children, we’re more inspired than ever to continue this important mission. Together, we are building a brighter future for our children.

We have so much more items recently added: rocking chairs, a beautiful Ottoman Bench, dressers, furniture, Ice machine, printer, TVs, kitchen appliances, a gas handheld blower, lamps, clothing of all ages, books, collectible figurines, home decor, shoes, jewelry, toys and much much more!

Multi-family Garage Sale Saturday August 15th 8am-2pm proceeds benefit the Play to Learn Center. Make sure to stop by, we have: an Electrical hospital bed, washer and dryer, furniture, kitchen appliances, clothing of all ages, coats, toys, books, collectible figurines , costumes, bedding, home decor, shoes, 150 ball caps from local businesses and much more.
