YOUR SEAT IS READY!
There’s something special about gathering around a table.
It’s where we share a meal.
Where we tell stories.
Where we laugh until our sides hurt.
Where we meet someone new.
Where we reconnect with people we haven’t seen in a while.
And sometimes, it’s where something bigger begins.
Tonight, our community will gather around a whole lot of tables.
Some will come because they love crab.
Some will come for the auction.
Some will come for the laughter and the fun.
Some will come because they’ve been part of United Way for years.
And some will come simply because they believe our community is worth showing up for.
That’s what I hope you feel when you walk through these doors tonight.
That you’re part of something.
That your presence matters.
That your generosity matters.
That the person sitting beside you matters.
Because United Way has never been about one organization doing it all.
It’s about all of us bringing what we have to the table…our time, our resources, our ideas, our connections, our willingness to help.
And when we do that, something pretty incredible happens.
We become a community that takes care of its own.
So tonight, pull up a chair.
Bring your people.
Make some memories.
Laugh a little louder.
Bid on something you absolutely do not need. 😉
Eat way too much food.
And look around the room.
Because this is your community.
And you have a place in it.
