🌸 LET'S KEEP HAVRE DE GRACE BLOOMING! 🌸

Have you noticed the beautiful flower-filled planters brightening up downtown Havre de Grace? 🌺🌿

Thanks to the generosity of our original Adopt-A-Pot sponsors, we've been able to bring more color, beauty, and charm to our downtown streets.

But we're just getting started!

Our vision for Havre de Grace in Bloom goes far beyond the planters you see today. We want to add many, many more planters throughout our community, creating beautiful, welcoming spaces for residents and visitors to enjoy throughout the seasons.

🌷 DID YOU KNOW?

There's been a little confusion about who is behind these beautiful planters, so we'd love to clarify something!

Havre de Grace in Bloom is NOT city-funded or city-sponsored, but we are very much CITY-SUPPORTED! ❤️

We are a grassroots, community-driven nonprofit initiative made possible through the generosity of local businesses, residents, sponsors, and dedicated volunteers.

We're incredibly grateful for the encouragement and support we've received from the City of Havre de Grace as we work toward a shared goal of making our beautiful city even more beautiful!

But here's something important to understand: Every planter, every seasonal planting, and the ongoing care that keeps them looking beautiful depends on community support.

🌼 THAT'S WHERE YOU COME IN!

Our Adopt-A-Pot sponsorship program is an opportunity to leave a lasting mark on the community we all love.

There are so many meaningful reasons to adopt a planter!

🌸 In Memory of Someone Special — Honor the memory of a loved one with a beautiful living tribute that brings joy to others.

🌷 In Honor of Someone You Love — Celebrate a parent, grandparent, friend, anniversary, or someone who has made a difference in your life.

🌺 As a Business or Organization — Show your community pride while helping make downtown Havre de Grace a more beautiful place to live, work, shop, and visit.

🌻 Just Because You Love Havre de Grace! — You don't need a special occasion or a business to sponsor a planter. Sometimes loving your hometown is reason enough!

Each Adopt-A-Pot sponsorship includes a recognition plaque displayed downtown, celebrating the person, family, business, or organization behind the contribution.

💚 HELP US GROW!

Imagine walking through downtown and seeing twice as many beautiful planters. Or three times as many!

More flowers. More color. More beauty. More community pride.

That's what we're working toward, but we can't do it without you.

To our original sponsors, THANK YOU! You helped turn an idea into something beautiful. Now we're hoping even more members of our community will join us as we continue to grow.

🌸 WILL YOU ADOPT-A-POT?

Visit hdginbloom.com to learn more about becoming a sponsor.

And if sponsorship isn't possible right now, please share this post! You never know who might be looking for a meaningful way to give back, honor someone special, or make a difference in our community.

This is YOUR community. YOUR downtown. And together, we can make Havre de Grace BLOOM! 🌷❤️

🌲 HELP US KEEP HAVRE DE GRACE BLOOMING THIS WINTER! ❄️

Our beautiful fall planters are still bringing color to downtown Havre de Grace, but we’re already planning what’s next!

Havre de Grace in Bloom is preparing for winter, and we need your help!

We’re hoping to create beautiful, natural winter arrangements like the one pictured, using fresh greenery and materials sourced right here in our community.

🌿 Here’s what we’re looking for:

🌲 Pine, cedar, spruce, fir and other evergreens

🌿 Holly branches and winter berries

🌳 Birch logs and interesting branches

🍂 Pinecones and other natural accents

Do you have evergreens that need trimming? Know someone with wooded property, a local farm, or a business that might be willing to share some greenery?

We’re looking for places where we can responsibly collect materials with the property owner’s permission.

By sourcing locally, we can stretch our nonprofit’s budget while creating beautiful winter displays throughout downtown.

💚 Have a lead? Leave a comment or send us a message!

Together, we can keep Havre de Grace beautiful through every season!

If you missed our biggest fundraiser of the year mark your calendars because you won’t want to miss it next year!

What an incredible weekend for Havre de Grace in Bloom! 🌸

The HDG Extreme Boat Docking & Riverfront Festival is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and thanks to the amazing support of our community, this year’s event was truly something special.

Every ticket purchased, every sponsor, every vendor, every volunteer, and every person who came out to enjoy the festival helped support our mission of making Havre de Grace even more beautiful.

The funds raised from this event will go directly back into HDG in Bloom — helping us add even more flowers, expand our planting efforts, maintain our planters, and continue beautifying a town we are already so proud to call home. 🌺🌿

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this weekend such a success. When you support this event, you are not just supporting a festival — you are helping our community bloom.

And after seeing what this year became, we are already dreaming even bigger for next year. 💐

Thank you for believing in HDG in Bloom and for helping us continue to grow, plant, beautify, and celebrate Havre de Grace.

More flowers. More color. More beauty. More community.

And we’re just getting started. 🌸

🌸 We have something pretty special to celebrate! 🌸

Havre de Grace was recognized as a Top 3 finalist among participating cities from across the United States at the America in Bloom National Symposium!

HDG was named among the top three in:

🏆 Suntory Flowers – Alive with Flowers Sunbeam Award
🏆 Proven Winners – Landscaped Areas Outstanding Achievement Award
🏆 Overall Town Population Category: 7,700–15,000

While we didn’t take home the top award in these categories, being named one of the top three communities in the country is an incredible honor — and one we are extremely proud of.

These recognitions reflect the hard work of our volunteers, businesses, City partners, sponsors, and everyone who helps make Havre de Grace more beautiful, welcoming, and vibrant.

Havre de Grace was noticed on the national stage — and that is something worth celebrating! 🌸💚

We’re excited to build on this momentum by growing our volunteer base, strengthening our partnership with the City, other community nonprofits and continuing to raise the bar as we work toward bringing home a national win for Havre de Grace!!! 💕 🌺
