Great visit from Proven Winner Flowers! It was a very successful visit, but we’ve got some work to do to take things to the next level. Adopt-A-Pot: Storefront Edition

Help Downtown Bloom — Right Outside Your Door!

🌸Havre de Grace in Bloom (HDGinBloom) is inviting local businesses to participate in a special Storefront Adopt-A-Pot opportunity: a simple, high-impact way to beautify downtown, elevate curb appeal, and show pride in our community. This option follows the same mission as our original Adopt-A-Pot program—bringing lasting, seasonal beauty to Havre de Grace—but with a benefit designed specifically for business storefronts.

What Businesses Receive:

Business sponsors receive TWO pedestal planters placed at their storefront (space permitting and approved locations).

These planters are designed to be:

Eye-catching and professional.

Seasonal and refreshed throughout the year

A visible “welcome” moment for customers, visitors, and foot traffic

Plus—maintenance support is included:

As part of your sponsorship, HDGinBloom volunteers help maintain the planters, including routine upkeep so your storefront stays looking beautiful.

Program Standard: To ensure continuity and a cohesive downtown look, HDGinBloom provides and installs the planters used in this program and coordinates the seasonal designs. These are Earth Planters—professional-grade planters that are self-watering and backed by a lifetime warranty, making them a long-term investment in a beautiful downtown. Volunteer maintenance and seasonal refreshes are limited to official Adopt-A-Pot program planters.

Sponsorship Details: $500 Storefront Sponsorship

Your sponsorship helps fund the purchase and installation of two pedestal planters for your business location.

Included with sponsorship:

Two pedestal planters for your storefront

Seasonal plantings that keep your entrance looking fresh and inviting

Volunteer maintenance support from HDGinBloom

Recognition as an HDGinBloom beautification partner

Annual Renewal:

$100 After the first year to cover:

A great opportunity for some young folks in our community!

🌿 Calling Students Who Love the Outdoors
The City of Havre de Grace is launching the first year of its Summer Volunteer Habitat Management Internship, giving students the chance to work hands-on restoring and managing natural habitat along the Susquehanna River and Chesapeake Bay.

Interns will gain field experience in:
🌱 Native plants
🐝 Pollinator habitat
🌿 Invasive species management
🌊 Coastal and tidal landscape stewardship

This is a great opportunity for students interested in environmental science, conservation, horticulture, ecology, or green industry careers.

Two Student Tracks Available
• College Students: June 2 – August 13
• Rising 6–12 Grades: July 13 – August 13

Help Us Bloom, One Planter at a Time! 🌸

HDGinBloom is excited to launch our Adopt-A-Pot Sponsorship Program for downtown Havre de Grace.

We are looking for businesses, residents, families, organizations, and clubs to sponsor our beautiful new Earth Planters — self-watering containers with a lifetime warranty that will brighten downtown for years to come.

Our goal is to create more beauty and continuity throughout town by replacing the many different pots currently in place with uniform planters for a more cohesive and welcoming look.

A planter may be sponsored in support of the program, in honor of someone special, or in memory of a loved one.

We already have 11 sponsors on board and would love to keep the momentum going!
