FAMILY UPDATE: A Little Support. A Lasting Impact.

When Wendy Much unexpectedly welcomed two young boys into her home 2½ years ago, she faced the challenge of building a new family with very little preparation.
CUH and our incredible community stepped up with clothing, food, toys, financial assistance, and plenty of love and encouragement.

Today, Wendy shares that the boys are thriving! Looking back, she says the support meant "Everything!!!! We couldn’t have done it without CUH!!"

Stories like Wendy's remind us what can happen when a community comes together.

We love seeing our community continue to rally around families we've had the privilege of supporting.

We're excited to share the 14th Annual Victoria Rose Fund Benefit, which will honor Marvelous Maisy Geyerand help support her family as she continues her fight against leukemia.

CUH has supported the Geyer family in the past, and we hope our community will show up for them once again!

Our Baca Family Drive is underway, and there’s still time to help!

As Chris recovers from back surgery, he’ll be extremely limited for approximately 12 weeks. That means his wife, Ashley, will be juggling work, three kids, caring for Chris and all the everyday responsibilities that keep a household running.

One of the biggest ways we can help? Put dinner on the table.
🍲 Make a homemade meal
🍕 Send dinner from a local restaurant
🎁 Give a restaurant or grocery gift card
🛒 Donate needed household items
💛 Provide financial support

A meal that provides leftovers for another night is an especially wonderful way to help.

For 20 years, Chris Baca has been giving back to the Havertown community, working for Haverford Township’s Highway Department, volunteering with Oakmont Fire Company and serving countless neighbors from behind the bar at the Palombaro Club.

Now, it’s our turn to give back to Chris and his family.

Chris is preparing for back surgery that will leave him extremely limited for approximately 12 weeks. During his recovery, his wife, Ashley, will be balancing her full-time job at Penn with caring for Chris, their three children and their household.
We can help lighten that load.

CUH is collecting support for the Baca family, including:
💛 Prepared dinners — their biggest need
🍕 Restaurant/takeout gift cards
🛒 Groceries and household essentials
💵 Financial assistance

Love to cook? A homemade dinner would be an incredible gift. Not a cook? Sending a meal from a favorite local restaurant can help just as much. Meals large enough to provide leftovers are especially appreciated.
