💜 Today, October 10, is World Homeless Day, a time to recognize the realities of homelessness and the importance of ensuring everyone has a safe place to call home.

The faces featured in our Faces of Homelessness series represent real people with real stories. Homelessness can affect anyone, and behind every face is a person deserving of dignity, compassion and the opportunity for a fresh start.

🎁 We’re getting a head start on our holiday campaign!

We’re collecting wrapping paper now to help families we serve wrap gifts for their children. We also use donated wrapping paper to create holiday decorations at our Family Shelter, helping make the season feel special for the families who call it home.

If you’re able to donate, please drop off wrapping paper at 101 Winter St., Haverhill. Getting donations in early helps us prepare for the holiday season! 💜

💡 This DAF Day, October 8, consider directing your charitable giving toward a cause that supports both housing stability and mental health.

October 10 is both World Homeless Day and World Mental Health Day: two issues that are deeply connected. At Emmaus, we see that connection every day. In FY26, 44% of guests at Mitch’s Place were living with a mental illness.
