Around 400 AD, at just 16 years old St. Patrick was captured by Irish raiders and forced to work in Ireland. He remained in captivity until he was 22 years old when he escaped back to his home near modern day England. But God had different plans.

One night Patrick dreamt that those who had enslaved him were begging him to return. Saint Patrick followed God’s call and went back to Ireland to tell people about Christ. His unique understanding of both Irish culture and Christianity allowed him to effectively preach. The most popular example of this is when he used a three-leaf clover to represent the Trinity.

Imagine going back to the bullies of your youth to evangelize.
