The Officer team is back from the annual officer retreat. This year it was in Kansas City so the officers had a chance to attend a Royals game that they probably won’t be forgetting about for a LONG time! Just ask one of them for the story and enjoy the pictures in the meantime.
They were also able to brainstorm and begin planning FFA activities for the upcoming year. Looking forward to what this team will do this year! Get excited, Haven FFA, big things are coming!

Big week for Haven FFA at State FFA Convention! Mrs. Knapp was recognized for her service as South Central District Advisor. Haven was recognized for being in the Gold Division in the National Chapter award and receiving 10th place in the Triple Crown! Our goal this year was to be in the top 10 and we did it! Members also participated in the Alumni Dodgeball Tournament and got 3rd place for costumes! Finally, members were recognized for receiving their State FFA Degree.
We were also able to celebrate our friend from Canton-Galva FFA, Jory Ratzlaff, as he was installed at the 2024-2025 State FFA President!

Congratulations to the following chapters who were just named Triple Crown Award Finalists!

The Triple Crown award is given to the FFA chapter that performs the best in the National Chapter Award program, which recognizes chapters that actively implement the mission and strategies of the organization in the three divisions. Chapter members made the trip to Manhattan to compete at State CDEs. Monday morning Sierra, Abby, Connor, and Noah competed in Vet Science. This morning Evan, Diego, Noah, and Welden are competing in Livestock Judging. Best of luck to these two teams and all individuals! Results start at 2pm this afternoon and will be uploaded online shortly after.

Monday night was the South Central District FFA Banquet hosted at Haven. This banquet marked the end of Connor’s year of service to SCD. Him and his team hosted a great program. On top of that Haven FFA was recognized for completing the National Chapter Application and Brody, Connor, Diego, and Tatumn were recognized for their State Degrees. Great job to all last night and thanks to everyone who supported Connor during his time in office. Could not be more proud of the way he represented himself and Haven!

Members took a trip to Halstead Middle School for a mini Farmall Day. Weather didn’t work for them to come to the farm so we brought the farm to them! Great day with great students, thanks HMS for hosting us!

Banquet is always a stressful time, trying to get all the awards together, worrying about having enough food or making the right food, making sure the officers have their lines memorized and every little detail that was probably forgotten until the night of. While I hate it in the moment, the outcome never ceases to amaze me. This officer team was ready to roll with the punches and continued to surprise me all night with their speaking abilities and drive to accomplish a successful banquet.
Last night I was in a panic about how tonight would go and trying to decide if I was ready to say goodbye to my senior officers. I realized that the FFA banquet is about recognizing the accomplishments of our members and chapter for this year and getting everyone excited about what is to come. They did just that! Not only did the team achieve that goal but Tatumn and Connor gave wise words that will hopefully leave a lasting impact on members for years to come. I know I took what they said to heart and hope to continue a tradition of excellence with the Haven FFA Chapter.
Thank you to all who came out tonight and celebrated with us and thanks for reading my long post. Just needed to brag on these amazing members.

Yesterday was very busy for our members but a great day! Members started their day at Extreme Crossfire playing intense paintball games. Then headed the high school to setup and run the benefit auction for Evan. Huge thank you to parents, FFA members and Inman FFA for smoking the meat and serving the meal. It’s amazing to see the community come out and support a student in need. Thank you sponsors, donors and supporters, you are the difference makers!

The 96th National FFA Convention has wrapped up! There are many things to highlight (which will be posted in another post when we get pictures figured out).
This year at the second general session Haven FFA was recognized as a Two-Star Chapter! This is based on an application that the officers fill out highlighting events throughout the year. Connor and Brennan were able to walk across the stage, dance on the floor during pre-session and get really good seats near the floor!

Last week the Greenhands competed in the Dairy Cattle Judging CDE and placed 2nd as a team! Josie was 6th as an individual. Great job to all of them!

Today we invited the Haven Grade School and the Yoder Charter School to our Farm-to-Fork day! We have this day to show kids where their food comes from. We want to thank PHMS Bee Club, the Haven Food Services, and the Inman Voag for helping us today!
