Parents & Coaches:
It will never matter how much potential we see in a player. How far we think they can go. How good we think they are and can be.
THEY have to want it. THEY have to work for it. THEY have to believe it.
We can encourage, motivate, teach, support and show them the way but ultimately it will come down to them. We can’t force it. We can’t want it more than them. We can’t do it for them.
Meet them where they’re at. Give them that guidance, encouragement and support but pay attention. As they get older they will steer the ship. This is their journey. Their experience. Their life.
