Hosea can be a difficult chapter in the Bible to read, but it's a beautiful illustration of how God remains faithful to us even when we aren't faithful to Him.

Just like the Israelites, we get far too comfortable compromising our covenants... both with God and people. But we are called to choose faithfulness over certainty and honor our commitments even when it's hard.

This isn't just a marriage skill; it's a life skill.

This Sunday we conclude our “Set Apart” series with a message called Sacred Vows. Through the powerful and often-overlooked story of Hosea, we’ll discover what covenant love really looks like. In a culture that treats commitment as temporary and relationships as disposable, God’s Word paints a very different picture. Faithfulness is more than a feeling. Love is more than attraction. Covenant requires sacrifice, perseverance, and a willingness to reflect the heart of God even when it’s difficult.

Whether you’re married, single, dating, widowed, divorced, or simply seeking to understand God’s faithfulness in a deeper way, this message is for you. We will see how the story of Hosea points beyond marriage itself to the relentless, covenant love of God for His people! We’ll also celebrate water baptisms as we close the service, making this a powerful Sunday you won’t want to miss. If you would like to sign up to get baptized, click the link below!

"Control is usually an attempt to create certainty in a world that feels uncertain."

God presents the Sabbath to His people in the Old Testament as a commandment, but we rarely view it that way. We think that rest is the reward for hard work. It's something to look forward to when the job is done. For most of us, this mindset comes from our deeply-ingrained control issues.

In God's inverted Kingdom, you don't work so you can rest; you rest so you can work. God gave us the Sabbath as an opportunity to trust that He will provide, even when we aren't "doing" anything.

This week, take time to sit in silence. No devices. No music. No podcasts. Just stillness and silence before God.

Our Community Baby Shower is happening tomorrow at Liberty Church!

We are giving away new and gently-used items for babies, parents, and families in need. We will also have healthcare professionals, such as lactation consultants, on site to answer questions!

We are taking donations up to the start of the event, so feel free to drop off donations before or after service tomorrow. 🍼

We live in a culture that treats exhaustion like a badge of honor. We stay busy, stay connected, stay productive... and then wonder why our souls feel tired.

This Sunday in Part 3 of our "Set Apart" series, is a message called "Rested Souls." We’ll see God’s design for Sabbath, rest, and trust.

What if rest isn’t a reward for finishing your work, but an act of faith that God will provide even when you stop? Join us as we discover how to let go, be still, and find the kind of rest that only Jesus can give.

If you’d like to read ahead, check out Exodus 16:13–30 and see how God taught His people to trust Him before He ever had to command them to rest.
