🎉 Havana Oktoberfest Giving Update! 🎉

One of our favorite parts of Havana Oktoberfest is being able to give back to the amazing organizations that support our community all year long. Thanks to everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored, and supported the Oktoberfest—YOU made these donations possible! ❤️

This year, we were proud to donate to the following local groups:

🚓 Havana City Police Department – $500

This donation will help purchase new first aid kits for the department. Thank you to our officers for keeping our community safe!

🥫 Havana Area Food Pantry – $1,000

The Food Pantry is a volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to helping residents within the Havana School District. They are fully supported by donations from individuals, churches, businesses, and community organizations. Groceries are provided through pantry purchases and donations from local drives and supporters.

🎒 Havana Backpack Program – $500

The Backpack Program provides food assistance to students by sending home kid-friendly, nutritious food on weekends and school breaks—ensuring no child goes hungry when school is not in session. We're proud to help support this important mission!

🔥 Havana Rural Fire Department – $500

This donation will help purchase new brush gear for the department. We’re especially grateful for their help each year with Oktoberfest—they collect all the picnic tables and garbage cans after the fest and return them to the park district. Thank you for all you do!

🧪 New Central PTO – $1,000

Funds will support the PTO’s effort to create a new STEAM Lab, bringing hands-on learning to life for students! This donation will help purchase interactive materials to enhance science, technology, engineering, art, and math experiences. 🎈

Thank you, Havana, for helping make a difference! Your support of Oktoberfest continues to strengthen our town in so many meaningful ways. Here’s to another great year! 🍻💛

🍂 A Piece of Havana Oktoberfest History! 🍺

A fun blast from the past! 🎉 These classic hand-crafted Oktoberfest mugs from 1990 & 1991 were recently discovered by “once a community member, always a community member” Rick Hardy, who graciously passed them along to one of our committee members, who also happens to be the Parade Director and his niece 😝😅 it was meant to be!

These mugs were made by the Mason County Arts Council and were awarded to parade winners back in the day. How cool is that? 🤍

It’s such a great reminder of our town’s amazing traditions and the creativity that has always been a part of Havana Oktoberfest.

We love celebrating the charm and history of our community and we can’t wait to keep building memories together!

Stay tuned… Oktoberfest planning for next year is already brewing! 🍻😉
