The Savenac Historic Tree Nursery is currently open for cabin rentals on recreation.gov. The project work of 2025 replaced the water and waste water treatment systems. Because of the extensive excavating work, some minor work remains. This work will be completed between May 16th and June 21st this year. As a consequence, the facility will be closed to public access.
Additionally, the January windstorm resulted in the loss of numerous trees on the property one of which damaged the Administration building. The damage although significant, can be repaired and will be this spring. The pictures tell the story.
