C.E.P.O. was started in 2012 by Ambassador Brian D. Smith as an entity dedicated to community service. Smith's vision for community engagement quickly spread across the city, and many leaders among the community stood up to aide in the efforts. From community clean-up to volunteering at the local soup kitchens. In February 2012, C.E.P.O. made its first appearance at a peace rally after the break o

f the Trayvon Martin Case. Smith's encouraging and empowering words calmed the hearts of the Hattiesburg community in those tragic times, ultimately aiding in the prevention of violent outbreaks across the city. Since the rally, Smith has expanded his vision to include leadership development and consulting, organization management and start-up, public relations, etc. With a new Co-CEO, Malcolm Polk, C.E.P.O. is expanding and reaching new heights.
