Now that the football season has ended, the Youth Skills Academy is starting its second year and will begin its winter training program in January. These programs will consist of core, flexibility, stabilization, strength, power, speed, agility, and quickness training, and ploymetric training. The program is open to all students beginning I first grade through college. In addition, the programs ar
e offered to the general public who are looking to improve their fitness level by losing weight, increasing cardiovascular fitness, or just general health improvements. Cost of the program for students is $10per session, 5 for $45, 10 for $90, or 12 for $105. There is no registration fee or deposit required. Adult training sessions: 5 sessions for $75, 10 sessions for $150, or 12 sessions for $120.
“While we (coaches) of the Skills Academy will teach techniques used by professional athletes, we will also highlight character building to help level or raise the bar of expectation in this arena as well,”. This is our second training program of the organization and it is our hopes to continue to make improvement that will foster lifestyle changes the world will benefit from.
“I’m sure that once it starts word will spread and more children will want to participate. Football is a popular sport and children love it as well as adults. There are some who want to learn how to play the game properly and others who just want to play for fun, and others who want to play for an opportunity to go to the next level. Whatever the reason, the Academy will teach them about the game of football as well as the game of life,”!
