Sooo many amazing Empty Bowls volunteers buzzed around Edwards Street Fellowship Center, Main Street Gallery, and from west to east Hattiesburg on Friday! 👏

Whether picking up soup, packaging desserts, preparing signage, or setting out the most gorgeous pottery bowls, the volunteers radiated✨joy✨ knowing they’re helping neighbors who rely on the Edwards Street food pantry!

Come share the ✨joy✨ of being a difference-maker at from 10:30-1:00 on Saturday, 11•1•25, at 210 Main St., Hattiesburg ! ❤️🥣❤️

Diane Shepherd, owner of Main Street Gallery, has a heart for people who need a helping hand. In 2012, she contacted leaders of Edwards Street Fellowship Center about her desire to help the center's food pantry. Combining her love for pottery with her response to Jesus' words in John 21:17 to "feed My sheep," Diane held the first Empty Bowls Hattiesburg that same year, with all of the event's proceeds benefitting the Edwards Street food pantry.

Empty Bowls has grown through the years, but remains true to its roots: 🥣The event is held in Diane's business in the heart of Downtown Hattiesburg. 🥣Talented local artisans create each unique & beautiful bowl. 🥣The simple, delicious lunch is provided through the generosity of favorite Hattiesburg restaurants & caterers. 🥣All proceeds feed neighbors in need through the Edwards Street food pantry. 🥣Diane & her team of passionate volunteers work year-round crafting bowls for the event. (More than 6️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ bowls are ready for you this year!)

This is year 1️⃣3️⃣ of Empty Bowls Hattiesburg and year 1️⃣0️⃣ of Carmen & Grant Ford opening their restaurant for this food pantry fundraiser. That's 10 years of the Fords spending their day off tirelessly heating & serving dozens of soups donated by restaurants from all across Hattiesburg (and washing dozens of soup pots at the end of the day)!

If you've missed out on the amazingly delicious home cooking of a GrateFull Soul lunch, make sure you head down to 205 Main St. any weekday from 11-2 for the ultimate plate lunch, Southern style! Thank you to the Fords for their years of generosity and service as they take care of hungry neighbors in need!!

🤩Our talented, generous potters & glazing artists ARE Empty Bowls Hattiesburg! We can't thank them enough for sharing their time, creativity, talent & compassion with us year after year. Because of these artisans, the bowls of soooo many neighbors in our community won't be empty this year. ❤️🥣❤️

We're so excited that Milo 🐭 is loaning us some of his favorite games from the alley this Saturday! is loaded with fun for all ages:
🤹‍♀️Jenga and corn hole from the Hattiesburg Pocket Museum,
🚒a firetruck and firefighters from the Hattiesburg Fire Department,
🥣gorgeous pottery from local artisans,
🐾guests from the Hattiesburg Zoo,
🍵yummy lunch from dozens of Hattiesburg's favorite restaurants and vendors, and
🍂a beautiful fall day to gather as a community to make life brighter and healthier for neighbors in need.
