This dog has been stranded outside and scared. I noticed it across from the park this morning and just now it was at the house bordering the park fence. I tried to contact the owners of the house multiple times but no one answered. I think it’s staying by this house since they have dogs. If this is your dog please let me know. It’s frightened.

Morning everyone! I hope you’re all having a wonderful start to summer with your families.

As most of you know, we no longer have an HOA board. Before I contact the developer and his wife, to establish a new HOA board, I’d like to know who would want to participate in it. They currently have control over it and I’d love for residents of the neighborhood to get that back since we’re the ones living here.

I’m happy to help with the HOA but I don’t want to be the only one. If you’d like to play a more active role in the neighborhood please let me know.

Several residents on Veranda Drive received ring camera notifications at 3am with two girls running through their front yards/carports. We’re not sure what they were doing or why they didn’t use the street. Remember to lock your cars!

It’s kitten season so I’m sure a few litters will be found. One of my neighbors actually found some today which sparkled this post.

I foster for both shelters so if you find any abandoned kittens please contact me through here. Hoping to avoid any kittens being found by the stray dogs.

Heads up for parents/animal lovers: Those dogs killed another cat on Veranda Drive. The scene left in the street made it very clear that it wasn’t a car. I’m going to try to clean it up before all the kids get off the school bus. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up just in case I can’t get to it in time. I promise we’re trying to hold the owner responsible. There’s only so much we can do without animal control.

Update: The street is clean now. There was no collar on the cat so I’m assuming it was a stray. If anyone has lost their cat though, message the page with a picture and I can see if it was yours. Multicolored cat.

REMINDER:
We’ve gotten several complaints about stray pets lately. Please keep all pets inside your home or fenced backyards.

There are several pets (2 black and white dogs, grey female pit mix, and a small grey/white male) that we’ve been notified about. The only dog that we know is a stray is the black dog (second picture) that stays in Barton Park. I’ve been attempting to catch her so I can foster her then have her adopted through Hub City Humane Society. If anyone can help with that please message the page.

We also understand that the stray cats have been multiplying. About 2 months ago we captured 8 cats and got them spayed/neutered. It’s a slow process but we’re trying to keep the numbers down.

Thank you to everyone who has been a responsible pet owner! We appreciate you doing your best to keep the children in the neighborhood free from roaming animals.
