Hattiesburg Fire Fighters Association, Local 184 IAFF Local representing the uniformed men of the Hattiesburg Fire Department proudly serving the citizens of Hattiesburg, MS on April 22, 1919.

Local 184 is an affiliate of the International Association of Fire Fighters originally chartered as the City Fire Fighters Union No. 184 Hattiesburg Miss. On October 4, 2006, Local 184 was chartered under the current name of Hattiesburg Fire Fighters Association Local 184.

MISSISSIPPI NEWS: The state’s public employees' retirement system has a mounting debt. Lawmakers are still discussing potential solutions to pay it off.

“When it comes to the long-term sustainability of PERS, you either fund it, change it, or eventually you may risk it,” noted PERS Executive Director Ray Higgins.
